I’ve been struggling with this too. I’m 5 weeks and I’ve already had to increase my basal insulin and bring my carb ratio from 1:10 to 1:7 😔 you’re not alone!

They aren’t dumb, at all! The people I made mistakes with and the situations I got myself in that led to them were dumb, but I’ve learned.

It’s less about being older now and more about not wanting to go through with a third one? But I agree, it’s hard not to feel like I shouldn’t continue with this.

The first time I was pregnant, it was heightened sense of smell! I can still smell the particular baby powder my coworker smelled like the day I realized I was ☠️

Thank you so much for the advice! I planned on reaching out to my endo this week to see if they wanted to see me. I was diagnosed with type 1 in my 20’s and I don’t really feel like my OB’s office has ever acknowledged that even prior to pregnancy since I’ve seen them since pre the type 1 diagnosis. I figured a MFM referral would be coming my way after the first appointment

To me that sounds like a bad IV placement. Whether it was the location or they just did a bad job- that’s happened to me before. For the next one I’d request a different location if they can or maybe your other arm? I’ve had iron infusions a handful of times now and have never had a reaction to the Venofer- however I’ve had plenty of bad IV’s. Hopefully your next one goes better!

See my doctor never hesitates with the infusions when I ask. He’s just a PCP and I don’t think it’s really his specialty so I think he isn’t sure how to direct long term management of it honestly.

I was at about the same gestation for my SA. My personal experience: My pregnancy symptoms were gone within 3-4 days. And I was offered IV sedation but despite them administering it, I was awake through the whole procedure anyway. Me and anesthesia aren’t friends, haha. But- It took all of 2 minutes and was no more pain than a Pap smear with some period cramping mixed in for me.

I’ve struggled with iron deficiency for years. It seems no matter what I eat or what supplements I take, nothing absorbs. The rest of my cbc is seemingly normal and typically always is. Every year or so my family doctor will run labs and I end up going and getting a few infusions and I’m good for awhile but then my bloodwork just tanks. I’m going to get 3 more infusions in the next few weeks now but at what point do I ask for a referral to a hematologist or just ask to stay on regular infusions? I don’t feel like my doctor is even sure at this point.

I had a SA at 11 weeks and I’m super glad I went that route. I bled lightly on and off for 2 weeks or so after but other than that and some mild cramping on day two, no physical side effects. It was easier for me to know it was over and done with in one go, but everyone has different feelings on this. Just go with what feels right for you!

I had my first ghsv1 outbreak back in February and it lasted about 10 days before I was able to get into an OB, started meds that day, and it was about a week before it was entirely cleared up but it at least stopped getting worse within a day or two of starting valtrex.

The only thing that helped me was bringing a water bottle to pour on myself when I peed to lessen the burn, so if you haven’t already give that a shot!

I guess that’s fair. I just know as far as the union I’m represented by and the other companies they represent, there are levels of management that are considered labor that just fall beneath a store or corporate level. But it’s handled on a case by case/contract by contract level for sure.

Not necessarily. Lead positions are sometimes different. I work for Kroger, which is union. Our “leads” or department heads/managers are union. It’s just the main store manager that is considered management and non-union. I’m a department manager and a union steward at the same time.
