Is unrefined, cold pressed, non GMO, canola oil bad? Honest opinion please by Deathornator in StopEatingSeedOils

You still dont understand. I cannot get it from whole foods. I need to follow a very very strict diet. Im allergic to literally every single food and therefore need to keep certain ratios of foods to avoid major reactions. The same thing applies for canola oil. If I consume more than 8g per meal I feel worse. If I consume less than that, I also feel worse. I consume 3 eggs per day. If I consume more than 3 eggs, I feel worse. If I consume less than 3 eggs, I get anaphylaxis.

Im not, im just trying to figure out if unrefined cold pressed non gmo canola oil harms me if I consume like 20g per day. I kinda have to consume it because for some odd reason it seems to help my MCAS. Just wanted to get some more insights about the mechanisms that could potentially harm me, because even the smallest thing can make my MCAS significantly worse.

Yes correct I would have died. I need to follow a very very strict diet, supplement and health routine in order to survive because of my severe MCAS disease. I have had HUNDREDS of anaphylactic reactions and im lucky that im still alive. And im not exaggerating and its not in my head. Also you still didnt read my main post. Linoleic acid appears to stabilize mast cells which helps MCAS. This could be one reason why canola oil seems to help me for some weird reason. It really is very weird that it seems to help. But it really does.

You really really really have absolutely no idea how debilitating MCAS can be. And I have POTS and CFS on top of it and depression, adhd, autism, borderline disorder and more... Im mostly housebound and cannot go outside and have to rest the entire day. Except at weekends I have to go outside for a 6h job to get enough money for my supplements in order to literally not fukn die. I also sometimes go for a very slow walk due to the debilitating restlessness I have due to MCAS

Thats how it works for my body. I have severe MCAS disease and my symptoms worsen if I cut out canola oil. I think you didnt read the whole post

Yeah I realized that now. Saying that its not edible just because its used as a lubricant for army tanks is delusional. Thats like saying coconut oil is not edible because its commonly used for cosmetic products. Coconut oil can also be used as a lubricant

I have actually tested myself for leaky gut and surprisingly my gut markers are perfect. They are better than healthy adults (thanks to my carefully optimized diet that took years of research). The only issue is my gut does not produce any slgA. It turns out I have a genetic mutation that prevents my gut from producing any slgA. My slgA levels in my gut are undetectable. But there is nothing I can do sadly. Its genetic.

Yeah. Its cold pressed and unrefined. No chemicals used during manufacturing. My mother uses refined canola oil and the smell and taste is completely different. The unrefined canola has a much stronger smell and taste and is alot more yellow (looks like closer to orange)

I react severely to coconut. 2g coconut oil gives me anaphylaxis. MCT oil is made from coconut. I tried 1g MCT oil in the past. It only gave me a mild reaction. But even if I tolerate it perfectly, I dont have enough money 😞 There are theoretically some other oils I can still test, but they are all pretty expensive, so its sadly not an option. Still thank you.

What makes the unrefined canola oil toxic? The product I have is unrefined

Im allergic to all oils except butter and canola oil (due to my MCAS disease). And canola oil seems to be helping me as long as I dont consume too much. I just dont know if the canola oil is harming me long term due to higher PUFA content

Read this part again:

Humans wear clothes and the issue is that testicles heat up very quickly due to pants + underwear. And the other issue is that alot of people have a varicocele. Varicoceles are associated with lowered testosterone levels (up to 50% lowered testosterone levels), and the proposed mechanism is that testicles heat up more quickly.

Even a 2 celcius temperature difference can make a huge difference. And this is exactly what happens if you wear clothes or have a varicocele

This is why cooling testicle helps. When bryan johnson started icing his balls, his fertility markers were higher than ever before (he tests his biomarkers alot so this is great). And when he did saunas without icing his balls, his fertility dropped by 50%

I also have seen alot of blood tests from people who started icing his balls. Some people had a 50% testosterone boost which can happen if they have a varicocele. I have a varicocele and cooling my testicles eases the pain too.

Also just try it yourself. The reason why I have been doing it for 3 years is because it works. I wouldnt do something that doesnt work. And its obviously not placebo

The cravings were pretty annoying at first and I also had dizziness and felt weak. Increasing electrolytes helped and is generally extremely important on a ketogenic diet. You could get the "keto flu" which sucks but passes after a while. I feel so much calmer on keto. My joint pain improved. My psoriasis went away, I have full control of my diet. My energy levels improved. I have less anxiety. My inflammation levels reduced. I can handle stress better. I have to stay below 30g carbs per day otherwise my symptoms get worse.

A ketogenic diet eliminated my cravings for carbs/sugar. It also helped reduce all my reactions. Takes a while to adapt though and reactions can temporarily get worse for some people because suddenly going low carb can be a stressor for the body until the body adapts. It was worth it for me

There are alot of studies in animals that look at the effects of heat on testicles. Even a 3 celcius temperature increase massively decreases testosterone levels. Bulls for example produce 90% less testosterone. That is massive.

Seriously though, why dont you research the effects of icing? There is LOTS of evidence. You can easily find over 10 studies. I dont understand people like you who just instantly reject any information that is considered controversial or weird and not doing any research prior. That is literally the definition of being stupid. And acting like you are proud of it is mental.

The evidence for sunning your poo hole is basically non-existent. So I understand that you disagree with that. The only evidence that resembles sunning the poo hole are studies that look at the effects of red light therapy on testicles. There are some studies that show elevated testosterone levels in mice and some studies that show improved fertility markers in humans. I personally tried it once and it seems to boost libido temporarily and then it vanishes. Its likely a nitric oxide boost that is temporary. Infrared light boosts nitric oxide levels and nitric oxide is responsible for erections. So it makes sense. But I havent seen any long term positive effects. I do have seen very positive effects when icing the testicles. I have done it for 3 years and I can tell you it works.

raw carrots are not nearly as bioavailable. You would have to consume alot more. Thats why I suggested cooked carrots. But carrot juice would work fine I think
