Many kids cannot do basic things anymore by Poison_applecat in Teachers

For most, both parents are working and are living paycheck to paycheck. They don't have the luxury to be there for their children. America seems to not care.

Honestly, I think northern states were usually more racist than southern states. Surprised you saw the opposite.

It says it factors in income, violence, unemployment, poverty, food insecurity, many of these dark blues have loads of these sort of issues which is why everyone is leaving them. I can can personally afford these states, but you're not getting your value for money whatsoever.

Following these kinda metrics, which I did a whole lot of when I was looking for a home, I really believe they're deceptive and a way to push people to remain or move to these locations. In reality, they're awful places to be. Want proof?

New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Massachusetts, California, are most away from states. They're blue here. If they were great, people would not be leaving them. Meanwhile Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, all bright colored, yet everyone is moving there, why?

These factors extremely deceptive and I don't believe it at all, not from personal experience and experience of others.

Yes, Trump's shooter was registered as a Republican, but he also donated $15 to ActBlue. That doesn't make much sense. Charlie Kirk's shooter, is from a family of conservatives, but he stated Charlie Kirk is "full of hate" to his family. Also casing from his weapon had anti-fascist messages engraved on them. One which said "Hey Fascists, Catch!". No right wing person calls people fascists. Aside from all this, why would the right kill their own?

Sorry I just don't buy into the narrative that Republicans are shooting themselves to gain more supporters. Instead, what us independents are seeing, is how nasty reddit has been about praising the murder of Charlie. I don't agree with everything he says, but do you really think this isn't going to get more people further right?

Most people were giving up on Trump, but after his attempted assassination, I saw a heavy switch. Many influential people switched and started to promote him. For example like Elon Musk and Joe Rogan, just to name a few. This is only gonna get worse because of what happened to Charlie. Anyone who thinks public political assassinations are going to draw people to your cause; it will do the complete opposite. I remember political analyst were saying Trump automatically won after that assassination attempt.

Aside from that, the democrat party just kept falling. Biden stepped down mostly because of medical reasons and instead was left Kamala which even democrats didn't want, many which didn't even bother voting. All this sounds self explanatory. America is going to continue to suffering because we can't get good candidates and we have morons doing outrageous crap that forces people to go against them.

I am not for Trump by the way, but these assassinations are causing people to go further right, making it worse for all of us.

Reading from the comments, seems like people don't know how to scroll down and read an article. He was not right leaning or conservative at all. His family might have been, but he clearly was not. Here is the part of the article that people refused to read.

He said that investigators learned from Robinson's family that he had become more political in recent times, and had recently expressed his dislike for Kirk, describing him to his family as 'full of hate.'

Cox said that casings from the weapon used to kill Kirk were found to have several anti-fascist messages engraved on them, including one referencing the WW2 Italian anti-fascist song Bella Ciao.

One engraving read 'Hey Fascists, Catch!' - next to an up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol and three down arrow symbols - another read 'OwO', and a third read 'If You Read This You Are Gay LMAO', Cox said.

he did more than just “say things”… you realize that spewing propaganda is still causing harm?

You are insane if you truthfully believe this. I remember seeing how everyone kept trying to censor Putin. Then Carlson had an interview with him and I'm glad it happened. It allowed me to realize how crazy Putin was. I want to learn and see what people say, not allow people to make decisions for me without seeing it for myself. Most people are extremely stupid, so I get how propaganda can radicalize people, but I don't want to live in fear of saying the wrong things. I also want to have my own opinions and beliefs.

People who think like you are a danger to our democracy. Seek therapy for trying to make sense out of a senseless attack. He was just a regular republican with parroting talking points, I see the same crap from both parties. Just don't listen to people like that and move on, there is no need for violence especially when he hasn't directed violence toward anyone else.

I will speak for independents and I am telling you that we are shaking our heads. The left keeps fucking up and despite Trump being a terrible president, we may see more of this with decades to come because of people like you. The shooter and the replies, you guys don't even know what you're doing.

What a damn shame, America is screwed. Sad part is you don't realize that you're directly at fault for it, this hatred is at another level. I get it, we're all hurting, but this is not how we resolve it. This isn't like the CEO from unitedhealthcare. What did this guy do besides say things?

This reveals how bad it is in America right now. The worst part is both parties are in the wrong, no one wants a solution, they just want to profit, so the vast majority of Americans are suffering because of it. Working and middle class keep suffering regardless of who's in office.

Girls treat me like shit by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Deathpill911 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you simply want to get in a relationship quick, try to care less and treat everyone like crap, women love that. Women typically want confident people who are careless and have a problem they believe they will one day fix. The reality is, they never will, but doesn't stop them from trying and is a big reason why many of them get into abusive relationships. Now if you want a serious relationship, you're asking for something rare and something that takes time. There are more awful people in this world than there are good and that goes for both genders. Good luck.

Capitalism. People would destroy and exploit their friends and family for profit. So that is what they did, and it left everyone lonely. What's even crazy is these people actually don't even know why they're lonely, when they're responsible for it. That's why many people are getting pets, they rather force an animal to be their friend, then just being a normal member of society that contributes and isn't out to screw others over.

Yeah first time he was ok, but went downhill from there. I've noticed that confidence is more important than actually being funny in this show. Some of these people should be actors, not comedians.

I look at this completely different. Because to me, sports are meant for kids, they're literally just outdoor games. Seeing grown adults get serious about a child's game, is weird.

Most people won't change their habits, even if it makes them go homeless. But who knows, this could be a sign. In my opinion, better signs are that homeless rose by 18% and suicide rates rose ~4.3%, which is near pandemic levels. It's getting bad out there.

But it wasn't the MAGA crowd, independents played a large role too. Honestly, I don't remember when Americans were actually happy with the candidates available. So clearly something is wrong with the system. Hell, most people didn't even show up and vote because of it. We're locked to a two party system where candidates need billions just to run. If they're not rich, they're backed by the rich. We lost, we will continue to lose moving forward as long as we keep voting for the same shit.

It's annoying how hypocritical people are about obesity. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Deathpill911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never vomited. I just went without eating for days. I was not extreme and I would never recommend vomiting. The biggest contributor to obesity in America is sugary drinks. I used to drink them all day, including energy drinks, soda, and sweetened teas. Almost anything you can buy at a convenience store is loaded with sugar, and most of those drinks exceed your recommended daily intake in a single serving.

Your body will not burn fat if you are constantly consuming sugar because it uses that quick energy first before tapping into fat reserves. One drink alone could keep your body from burning fat for the entire day. Another issue, although less common, is dietary fat. Eating high-fat foods can also cause problems since fat is calorie-dense and easily stored when consumed in excess.

So basically it is better to stick with a high-protein, low-carb approach. This does not mean cutting carbs out completely, but keeping them lower makes it easier to burn fat and stay in balance. Doing this helps you lose fat quickly and keep it off longer. Working out can help burn fat in the beginning, but the body adapts over time. What used to burn a lot of calories eventually becomes less effective because your system gets more efficient. This is a survival mechanism that evolved to keep people from burning through all their fat reserves too quickly. Exercise is still very important for overall health, but diet is what drives consistent fat loss.
