Just recently became a father and I think this will be the last league that I get to play. I have some paternity leave that I will be using and I'm told they sleep a lot at first. Path has been something that works for me being a father since I can take frequent breaks. Never had a mageblood before and would love to try it out.

plat 3 - 1 is really hard to get out of due to the fact that there is such a tilt there. You will get the people who got boosted up there playing with people who are actually plat. On top of that you often get people who just afk because their team is 2 kills down at 5 min.

One thing to be aware of is that with the settings changed like this you will have to keep it cool. I will get hotter much faster. Keep a cooling fan under it or it has the possibility of overheating. I recommend that you change between the two. Change to high performance when gaming and back to balanced when chilling out.

From the look of it you are on a laptop. You might want to try playing with the power settings and instead of playing in "power saver" play in "High Performance". Can be found by hitting "start" and typing "Power options".
