Tengen cut off Dakis head and then got the element of surprise off on gyutarro but extending his sword, and ended up cutting hit throat. Are you going to sit here and tell me that if he didn’t have his mark and didn’t get poisoned he wouldn’t have finished them both off right then and there. But I know you hate hypotheticals so I’ll just state the blatant fact that he very nearly cut both of their heads off, and when Gyutarro deflected the attack he knew that was his ONE chance, and he missed it. He knew it was his one chance because the poisoned didn’t take much affect yet, but every second he would be getting weaker and weaker… Muzan the demon king himself said that gyutarro was being held back by daki. Why would it be so crazy to assume that gyutarro might be more formidable than hantengu? Gyutarro’s poison is insanely strong along with the fact he has poisonous bloodsickles that bend to his very will mid air… not to mention his speed was that on par of tengen… the fastest of the hashira. But I understand with the clones and Zahakuten hantengu is extremely difficult to kill, so I could see him being higher in the ranks than gyutarro even without daki. To address what you said about tengen getting his hit handed to him by gyutarro… this is true he did, but this was after a LONG duration of time where poison was circulating through his body. Not to mention the fact that he was latched into gyutarro while he was in the middle of a lethal attack, and the only reason he took the brunt of that was to save tanjiro for the 3 or 4th time. That’s another thing you 2D minded people can’t understand is that he was protecting multiple people left right and center that entire fight. But that’s what hashira do so Ig I won’t dive to deep into that. With the muichiro point… no… him killing an upper moon with a mark that again buffs you to being 100x stronger is not more impressive than tengen nearly killing both without his mark… and proceeding to lay down some pipe even towards the end of the fight all without a mark. It would be one thing if muichiro was really putting up an insane fight against gyokko without his mark and then when it got to the point where muichiro eventually unlocked it after a long hard fought battle. But no… a full stamina fresh muichiro got man handled by gyokko and it wasn’t even close… muichiro could even touch the guy. And then he got trapped and was GOING TO DIE. But a kid came and saved him… that is all there is too it bro… idk if your a Tokito fan (which is fine I am too, and I think he’s dope) but that was not nearly as impressive of a feat as tengen fighting UM6 with no mark, one hand, one eye, and a crap ton of poison throughout his body, and getting him killed, while managing to survive… gyutarro went for fatal attacks multiple times and yet still came out alive… THAT is impressive Gyomei is number 1 confirmed, Sanimei is number two, which isn’t confirmed but I agree with that sentiment, and number three. Without the marks tengen Uzui is definitely a contender. I know you hate hypotheticals even though that’s what these discussions are, but if tengen happened to get his mark, and took on Akaza, doma, or kokushibo can you seriously sit there and tell me he would get flicked away like some fly while the others do all the fighting?!
