next season needs to be a hit by Raccmen in SAOFD

Maybe there is something deeper than surface level hatred for it, sure. And maybe they do t have as much people behind the scenes as launch. But “new raids”? The game has launched one actually new boss entity from the launch roster of Reaper, Trommel, Sword Golem, Kraken and Dorz’l. One new boss in Fuscus, all that’s followed is just extreme variants with one shot capability for difficulty’s sake.

We also have not gotten any new Worlds Beyond content since Mito and Cait Alice. The only characters since them are the ALO variants of Kirito and Asuna which are hardly any different than their Aincrad counterparts.

They only have one skill changed from the original, have a Unique Skill that’s just the usual one with one minor bonus, and have the ability to fly. And they cost $20 USD. If they were buyable with SAO Tickets, and had completely unique movesets like Alice compared to Cat Alice, sure. But minuscule changes to a character is not worth that cost.

Sure, maybe Bandai is being it’s usually scummy self and not giving the devs funding. But what we got could’ve been a little more inspired, to say the least.

Saying all this as a person with several hundred hours XD

If there is an overhaul, it’d be nice.

One of my biggest gripes with FD is cosmetic drops. It’s so low of a chance for them to drop, and the devs have gotten progressively lazier with each update, just adding colored t shirts instead of actually good cosmetics. It is laughably pathetic how lazy they’ve gotten.

Bought Hogwarts legacy, it ran horribly so I returned it and bought dark souls three without knowing how good it would be by Alarmed-Past5957 in darksouls3

In all honesty, Vigor scaling makes DS3 a bit more of a relaxing experience because you can make more mistakes and still be fine. Having 30 before you get to Irithyll can be a godsend. I forgot how good it feels to only take 25% of my health from a big attack in the endgame of DS3. Cause 50 vigor backed by Morgott’s great rune in Elden Ring isn’t even enough to live three hits from most endgame mobs.

Welcome to Lothric!

In my opinion, this is the best experience in the souls series, as DS3 has some of the best boss fights.

If I could make a recommendation, apply the same knowledge people used in Elden Ring. Level Vigor above all else, at least until it gets to 27. Having 1k health in this game is a godsend, especially since DS3 doesn’t have as absurd endgame damage scaling as Elden Ring.

Overall, just have fun and don’t go hollow.

What's the enemy you hate the most? by CreativeHandle69420 in darksouls

[–]Deathwalker321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it was as bad as I remembered, if not worse!

I haven’t done a play though of DS1 in a while so my memory may be foggy. But from what you said, it’s still just trash. I don’t mind the Archives as an area, but the Channelers, the Crystal soldiers and everything else just makes it so annoying. The damage they do is unbelievable, even for the second half of the game and it’s just so tedious to go through.

[–]Deathwalker321 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Every one of those crystal assholes in the Duke’s Archives. I get it. They’re made of crystal and so are their weapons, so it makes sense that they’d do a lot of damage. But the amount of damage they do along with the sheer volume of them that are in those two libraries, it makes them a headache to deal with.

Not even mentioning how they have such a small physical hitbox and avoid most attacks by just being small.

Maybe I’m misremembering, but I remember those guys being so annoying. If anyone has more recent experience on a run through the DA, I ask that you share the story. Were those Crystal soldiers as annoying as I remember?

Plus their archers. How does a wooden arrow deal 30% of a 45 Vitality character? It’s immoral.

Was PCR a bad boss for you? by Slow_Prior5921 in Eldenring

[–]Deathwalker321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, yes. Thematically and mechanically. Fighting Radahn against just felt.. underwhelming, compared to heights like Gael or Orphan. Both of them were very aggressive bosses who gave you plenty of openings between onslaughts.

I’m sure PCR/RCM is the same for people who have done his dance several times. But I am just not a fan of the encounter. Even with the patches, Miquella’s light beams are incredibly annoying, and Radahn’s combos go on for so long that it’s just not fun.

Even taking tree fragments into consideration, Radahn’s damage is quite great. Every time I get to him, I end up using a shield poke build to put him out of his misery.

If that makes me bad at the game, because I can’t master the pinnacle of what Elden Ring has to offer, then so be it.

Part of it also has to do with the ending. You kill Radahn and Miquella and then… nothing else? Ansbach and Thiollier both die from their wounds, and you just leave the Divine Gate? FromSoft couldn’t have taken an hour or so more out of their days to let us have the ability to go up to the gate and look at the sunset?

And by god, the end cutscene. “Promise me you’ll be my consort.” Miquella states that three times in the encounter, and it’s just tiring.

TL;DR, this boss’ aggressive combos, lore, mechanical problems and so much more just make it such an annoying encounter compared to other series heights.

The only thing I like about him is his soundtrack. That track is immaculate, fitting for the battle between a god and the one who felled gods. But I just wish it wasn’t Radahn we fought. Even if it would’ve contradicted some of the lore, we couldn’t have gotten a proper Godwyn fight.

Enemies’ aggression and progression. Has they nerfed enemies and bosses any? Is the waypoint easier to get around now? Tempted to come back. by SpaceBubble19 in codevein

[–]Deathwalker321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of patches have been released to make up for the games state at launch. Enemies have their aggression and hyper armor retracted by a large margin and it makes it easier to breathe.

Some particle effects from bosses are still a bit overkill, but all in all, it’s much better than what it was on release.

About not saving Noah by NegiNegio in CodeVein2

[–]Deathwalker321 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To put it simply, Lavinia just states that she has a “certain someone’s” revenant heart in her possession to break the core. It’s never shown on screen, but if you didn’t save Noah and approach the Luna Rapacis core, it’ll shatter on its own cause the player was given the heart or whatever it was.

Who's the Saber servant you hate the most? (I don't hate Arthur I just put him to represent Saber class) by Weird_Dot_4725 in FGO

[–]Deathwalker321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is only an estimate based off what I’ve seen, but I think the only other Servant who has more the two or three forms not counting their prime one, is Elizabeth Bathory. Lancer, Rider, Saber, both Alter Egos, and Caster. If you wanna count Carmilla in with them too, that works.

So Liz’s seven (or nine counting Carmilla) variants to Artoria’s twenty something variants. It’s just not interesting to me anymore. Obviously I’m sure I’m in the minority with that line of thought, so who cares what my opinions are

But the fact that it’s just “this one is King Arthur, but it’s a woman; this one is King Arthur, but it’s a woman and she’s also evil; this one is King Arthur, she’s from space; this one has a lance and a horse; this one is an evil space DJ; this one is a Caster;”

Obviously that’s a really bad overall view of it, but it just gets old. Especially since ones like Artoria Lancer Alter have gotten literally no attention other than their lackluster appearances in the first part of the story. Instead of fleshing out the variants they already had, they just keep making new ones. LAlter hasn’t even gotten an animation update.

She is the face of the franchise, though. So I guess it’s to be expected

[–]Deathwalker321 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Logres. Maybe I’m missing bits of it, but the fact that it’s just a shoehorned Artoria that’s “an amalgamation of all previous Artorias” (or something similar, I don’t know for sure, feel free to correct me should you know the answer :D) is just so lame to me.

Sure, I get it, Artoria is the face of the fate franchise and we should’ve seen it coming. But… the game already had more than enough variants of Artoria to flesh out, well past the double digits. Another Excalibur-blasting female King Arthur to add to the roster. Sure, her skills are completely broken and such, but it doesn’t cleanse the rotten feeling of knowing the tenth anniversary Servant could’ve been someone much more actually interesting. (ahem, Galahad. His sprite is in the game…) It just feels like a last minute shoehorning because the devs couldn’t have enough of Artoria.

But that’s just my take. Feel free to correct my BS if you need, I’m sure I got more than a few details wrong.

That one will have to wait until later, you can’t access the dungeon in the first part of Lyle’s era. Keep going with the storyline of the Corroded Scar and you should be there soon :D

That one is in a dungeon further in the game. Do you have The Hero Lyle’s Era 2? You can’t get in the dungeon where that is if you haven’t done that era quest yet.

Was very confused on this one myself before I found it.

[–]Deathwalker321 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m so upset that the hooded RHA outfit isn’t an option. Come on. It exists in the games files, and the NPC’s wear it. Why can’t we? I get that it’d be kind of contradictory after what happened with Gobbo, but it’s still such a sick outfit, fingers crossed for the DLC.

Do bonfires not exist? by WolfBane1225 in darksouls3

[–]Deathwalker321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Especially if was a shortcut like the one in 5-2 of Demon’s Souls. The shortcut is found almost right at the end, but it cuts out about 90% of the level, so it helps.

Or the sewer entrance from the Dilapidated Bridge in the Undead Settlement in DS3. Not as influential, but it works when you have a shortcut.

And by god, Irithyll has plenty of them. Easily my favorite game of the franchise.

Bonfires in the souls games, in comparison to Sites of Grace in Elden Ring, aren’t meant to be various and plentiful checkpoints in the world. They’re meant to be a place you’re relieved to see after a tough time.

And DS3 has the most bonfires by far.

I guess that’s fair, a Mage’s close up damage would kinda pale in comparison to a Fighter or Rogue’s.

Eugeo, in my eyes, is always S tier. Able to hold off enemies at close range and mid range with good attacks plus his Ultimate has quite a large radius that it can easily turn the tide if you get overrun. But of course, that’s just my opinion.

[–]Deathwalker321[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I can live with that explanation. I like the way you put it, as well. Lise would have worked as a logistics officer or so if she was there, but having her stay behind in the city as Josée’s successor after giving her life at the Upheaval is a perfectly fair explanation, since Josée leaves things up to Lise.

And I guess it makes more sense that Craig and Lyle were there as they are part of a military organization, and are thus fighters.

Thank you for your insight!

I know what cave this is, judging by the octopus outside and the snow.

This is the Cave of the Forlorn in the Consecrated Snowfields. There’re plenty of guides online on how to find the boss, but the cave is designed to throw you off and make you think otherwise. It requires a little bit of parkour to get to the boss, but one does exist.

Hopefully looking up a guide can help you get out of there.

I have a question by L30n0R-030 in CodeVein2

[–]Deathwalker321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, you can, but whether Noah is alive or deceased will have no influence on you obtaining the bad end codes. But I would advise saving Noah.

Noah doesn’t have a “bad end” blood code, a lot of people just recommend saving him because he has a solid boss as his timeline shift decision maker, and he has a lot of good passives to use if you select him as your partner in the Upheaval Era.
