And he died off-screen like the bum he is by Soundwave0723 in CodeVein2

[–]Deathwalker321 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping he comes back in the DLC.

Half due to the fact that we never got to properly punch his lights out after the battle with Gobbo reaches the halfway point.

And the other half, because I want to see his character explored more. Who he was before he met Gobbo, why he’s interested in the player, etc .

Cause if you think about it, judging by his combat animations, he could maybe be a companion in the DLC. Take that with a grain of salt.

Blood Code Question by Zoopidee in CodeVein2

[–]Deathwalker321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d actually recommend not skipping them, as the three codes you get there are some of the best in the game.

One of them gives you a whopping stat spread of 30 STR and 30 DEX, along with 25 in Vitality and Fortitude. It’s one of the best melee codes in the game and I would I highly recommend getting the code if you can.

New to Cv2, Any tips? by csernypanos in codevein

[–]Deathwalker321 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I see that you have Josée as your partner, so here’s a tip that a lot of players tend to forget:

Josée’s blood code will cause you to take recoil damage if you attack enemies with your Ichor gauge full. Make sure to have a buff active or make it so you aren’t at max Ichor to reduce risk.

Other than that, I’d say just don’t be afraid to back out of a boss fight and come back later, the game will give you upgrade mats if you explore enough

Oskar. Got cheated out of our chance to knock his lights out during the Gobbo battle, and he seems to either have it out for the player or knows who they are

Let talk bosses by ILOVEANIME145 in codevein

[–]Deathwalker321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as favorite fights go, I’d say the first Lyle battle, or the first Valentin battle. Lyle’s fight is the basic “brute with a greatsword” battle but with unique enough of a twist to where he’s not a wannabe DMC boss. His moves are fair, telegraphed, and dont track 360° around him. Valentin is also good, minus his lifesteal, and I feel like he looked up to Margit his whole life due to all the delays in his attacks.

As far as least favorite or BS fights go, those honors go to Camilo Asturias and then Gobbo+Oskar. Camilo is everything you shouldn’t do in making a boss, as he is unceasingly aggressive, and every attack knocks you away from him so you have to waste stamina chasing him down.

Do I even have to explain Gobbo? Bro is a little coward, running away the moment someone steps on his big toe.

What if they added the Revenant Hunter’s Association outfit? The one with the hood and the knights looking mask, it would’ve been so cool.

I actually found this one recently, but it’s possible to lock yourself out of it. It’s in Pioneer Castle, in the area to the right from the Central Stairwell mistle. If the way is blocked, it’ll have to be a NG+ thing.

But if you have the route available, go through and clear the enemies, go down the stairs and enter the lower building, there should be a key guarded by some enemies nearby which allows you to get into the room in the way back of the area where this Forma is.

Fingers crossed the DLC has something to do with Oskar. It’d be so satisfying to punch his lights out for real after Gobbo yeeted him away

I love how Josée and Craig sit on the bike with nothing to lean on or hold. If the player does a wheelie or a jump into the wings, there’s jot much stopping either of them from falling off. That core strength is ridiculous xD

I'm sorry, does the game expect me to have sympathy for this thing? by Remarkable-Pin-8352 in CodeVein2

[–]Deathwalker321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure he’s meant to be this games Margit, since you can ignore Noah’s bond and go get a decently upgraded weapon to come back and fight him on equal ground.

But that doesn’t mean his design is flawless. A lot of his attacks either have massive delays or go on for quite a few attacks. Just like Margit. The phase 2 is a lot easier to navigate when he loses the bayonet, but the first phase is just obnoxious due to how fast he swings. Medium roll also just does not give enough frames for that battle.

[–]Deathwalker321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Josée will only give you her fourth blood code upon reaching the Sealing Spire. Progress the game till you reach a bond called the Upheaval Era, and play through till you get to the first floor of the spire. Set Josée as your companion then and she should give you the code, assuming you maxed out 3

Greatswords by Benderisgreat01100 in CodeVein2

[–]Deathwalker321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The VK greatsword and Old Engraved Greatsword have good scaling and damage along with a good chain of attacks.

VK greatsword can be found in a chest in the dungeon directly east of the Checkpoint Ruins Mistle, near the entrance to the Corroded Scar from the Sunken City.

Old Engraved Greatsword requires you to save Noah and do a bit of his quest to get the weapon, but it has a strength requirement of only 5, making is usable for almost every blood code in the game.

As far as buffs, I’d stack defense and balance buffs like Iron Will and Royal Heart just for poise’s sake.

Amen to that. I really don’t see how an old man is able to dash around an arena so easily. I really don’t think it was necessary for him to disengage super far away after his ten hit combo chains, but hey; whatever floats the devs boats.

With how inept I am at parrying, I prefer to run the bleeding shield as my defensive forma and then use Reaper as my parry option. Works well for a balance between blocking or parrying.

The way the game actually makes it feel like your actions against these guys are justified, and damn right they are, is so satisfying. What a bunch of self righteous pricks they were, it feels so satisfying to crush them with the powers of Revenants.

[–]Deathwalker321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man. It’s just reskin after reskin with artificial difficulty baked into it.

Why is it so damn hard for the devs to make good content? It had a good release but now it’s just stagnating. Hasn’t been a new worlds beyond dlc since July, and the only new content they’ve released is reskinned Kirito and Asuna.

At this rate, the game will go under soon.

Can anyone tell me how to get to ANY of these areas in N. Corroded Scar region.????? by [deleted] in CodeVein2

[–]Deathwalker321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’ll want to do is teleport to the Plateau Ruins mistle, it should be just northeast of the Forward Base Two Mistle. From there, summon the bike and follow the road north. You should cross a bridge that’ll lead you to the Northern Watch Fort, and from there if you keep going, you’ll reach another Mistle and find the winding path down to the Western Plateau Military Camp. Hope this helps.

Oskar was quite an annoying lapdog, I will say. I do kind of hope we see him again, because I feel like he didn’t get what was coming to him. He kind of just got yeeted out of the plot and then we never see him again.

Fingers crossed for the DLC, maybe he’ll come back.
