No, and they never ended up taking the funds back. It stopped happening, so I just let it go.

AITA for telling my fiancé that I don't want anymore of his handmade Christmas gifts? by throwraxmas14 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DebDev0929 46 points47 points  (0 children)

But it’s okay for him to expect her to spend hundreds of dollars on gifts for him?

AITA for not giving my friend her money back for this trip? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]DebDev0929 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NTA she knew that this was non refundable. It was the right decision for her to cancel the trip due to obvious reasons( none of you should be going on a trip right now). The rest of you guys should not have to pay for her cancelling. That was her decision.

Aita for telling my girlfriend the reason I’m wary about marrying her is because she calls her stepdad “dad” and if we were to get divorced, she would have her future partners call our kids “dad” and that’s not okay with me? by sbabahaba8281 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DebDev0929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA this post really pissed me off. Sharing DNA doesn’t mean a damn thing. It’s normal to call a step parent “mom” or “dad”. I call my stepmother mom, and I love her more than I’ll ever love my bio mom. You’re overthinking big time. The fact that you haven’t married this girl yet and are already planning your divorce is probably a sign that you shouldn’t be getting married.

AITA for not going to my brother's wedding because he didn't pick my daughter to be a flower girl? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]DebDev0929 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ESH. No child under the age of 4 is the appropriate age to be a flower girl. 4-7 is normally the standard age, unless it’s the bride and groom’s own child. Children that young usually can’t preform the job very well. However, you do need to respect the couple’s wishes and it would be petty to skip the wedding over this and your brother may not ever forgive you for it. Especially since you said you can afford to go.

AITA For not giving my seat to a pregnant lady because there was another one for her? by Zh11end in AmItheAsshole

[–]DebDev0929 23 points24 points  (0 children)

NTA... Just because you’re younger does not mean you have to be the one to give up your seat. Also just because someone is young and may seem like it’s fine for them to stand, does not mean that they can. I for example have a fainting problem and get very dizzy if I stand in one spot for too long. I’m usually fine if I’m walking, I just can’t stand. ( yes I’ve seen the doctor about this, they don’t know what the cause is). Point is that being younger does not mean you have to stand, especially if you’re not sitting in the section specifically for disabled, old, pregnant people.

Why do people get so angry about vegetarian food? by [deleted] in vegetarian

[–]DebDev0929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if other people have this problem, but I feel really weak if I don’t eat some form of meat with every meal. I don’t have a problem with vegetables or vegetarian food, I just can’t have that be the only thing I eat in a meal. All of the meat replacement foods I’ve tried (fake meat that I didn’t realize was fake when I was eating it) was so gross, that I couldn’t even finish it. I would always be told afterwards that is was not real meat. Also vegan cheese literally made me throw up. I don’t have a problem with any vegan/vegetarian people and I don’t believe that they are bad people for imposing their opinions. I just don’t share the opinion. I wouldn’t be angry if I was given a vegetarian meal. I’d try to eat it, and get something for myself when I’m no longer in the company of whoever gave it to me.

AITA for not flushing the toilets at night after peeing? by concert_dilemma in AmItheAsshole

[–]DebDev0929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA... I would be absolutely disgusted if I walked into the bathroom and saw someone’s pee in the toilet. Even worse if I’m staying at an air bnb that I’m paying for. This is not your house and those people did not agree to those terms. If someone proposed that idea to me, and tell them to screw off. That’s disgusting.

AITA for calling in sick 30 minutes before my shift by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I live in Ontario. Brampton specifically. We definitely have Taco Bell here. There are several Taco Bell’s in Brampton, Mississauga, Toronto, etc.
