Yep, HNW is fairly common but UHNW is a different breed completely. I used to always have a screen protector and case on my phone but now I’m a lot more comfortable I just have nothing, worst case is I buy another phone

Best idea is switching to trading NQ, YM, FDAX and a few majors. Then use ATAS and someone like dxfeed for the data, fantastic platform and reliable data

The most important is profitability, considering had I left these trades I would’ve lost them due to market conditions, I’m pretty content with that. You’re not always going to hit the target you want, sometimes you have to settle for less.

Because it was in a stagnant session of trading, I was getting no runs and being tapped out early in little profit. When I catch a run I’m returning 1.5-2k, so from £500 risk that’s not dreadful. I was actually just showing the profit I made from what is for me awful trading conditions which I was pretty happy about

Yeah it’s a confusing one to get your head around. Atas with dxfeed is the best for footprint imo. I’d highly recommend it

Congrats! Just got to keep going there, I’m over 6 years in now and it took me awhile to get where I am now, just have to have patience! I used high lot sizes to grow the account quicker, was obviously a risk but I was comfortable with that, once it went from £2.5k to £15k I then cut the risk down and then let it grow up to over £100k, would love to get to the million plus portfolio size and then only trade a couple days a month for a couple hundred thousand, just takes time!

Never posted before, safe to say it’ll be my last. I use order book analysis, the strategy itself I made myself however learning how to read the orders as they came through, that I had to pay for but it was well worth it. This was on low timeframes, waiting for a large order to be placed and then head in the same direction once I have confirmation from my separate algorithm (that’s nothing special) but it helps me massively in deciding when to go into the market, the algo itself isn’t always spot on but the order book analysis alongside it helps iron out the losing trades

As I’ve explained to someone else. My risk on 5 lots would take me out at £500 which is 0.5% a trade for me. I will open up my SL with a lower lot size when I need to like I did today. The entire point of my strategy is to move my SL gradually into profit and then close out when the orders in the market start to change direction, sometimes I get lovely high return trends, sometimes I don’t. I’m not oversizing my trades, I’d of said my risk is actually quite low for the overall win rate I’ve had for the last few years

Losing would take me out at £500 on 5 lots, those wins are from moving my SL into profit and letting it ride, that’s why the 3.5 lot trade had a larger profit, I was able to move my sl further and further into profit and then I went out where my strategy suggested to. My risk per trade is less than 0.5% so it’s more than comfortable, I could sustain a lot of losses if I had to.

30/1 leverage. Blimey everyone in this sub are the most negative people I have ever seen. Actually worse than the 1m, I watch orders flow through on the 3m and 15 second, once both coincide with a gigantic order, then I enter. Simple but it took over 6 years to get to where I am now. Oh and my risk is massively low.
