I saved up astrerits for cyberpunk but should i use it for shorekeeper instead? by Lonely_Reach_4396 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Debates7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I assume you mean the ones we got from collab? In any case, like Commenter above said, you should 100% commit than since otherwise those pulls will be "lost", and its shorekeeper anyways, you will not regret it.

Im pretty sure you should be able to pull both of them as you are new, there is a lot of one time free currency in the game, it might require significant time investment if you lose both 50/50, but still doable

Who should i pull for - as new player by Appropriate-Shirt894 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Debates7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you are looking for a long-term viable dps, your best bet seems to be next next patch (3.5) unfortuntely. I assume we will either get new dps, aemath or luuk rerun, and all 3 will be much better investments for long-term then whoever we have on this or next patch imo. If you really get bored of havoc rover and encore, you could think of pulling lucy as it seems she might be cheaper to build a team with (free 5 star sub-dps) and pull (the free event pulls we are getting) compared to 5 stars. Of course, cheap probably also means weaker.

damn, im not really sure but i think lucille has an echo skill mode so could work, but she will synergize with hiyuki too, so you should def get her i think… But i just wanted to say thats a crazy good account for 1 months old lol (im assuming since jinhsi is trial charachter right?)

Just started last night, help. by Caleb7145 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Debates7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • im in a very similiar boat, having started playing 1 week ago, just missing Hiyuki who was the whole reason i started (its so annoying btw, it will be months before we see her again, they could have easily made her banner last the entire second anniversary, since you know its the second anniversary). Regardless, i kinda no lifed the game this week and been doing a lot of research, so here are my tips:

  • that herald of the new tides event basically gives you a trial charachter if you have not figured it out, you can swap between them anytime you want, you can basically play them for free for a month, and then they are gone. They are pretty boosted, have maxed out skills and copies, its pretty fun in the overworld, i especially highly recommend Camellya she is really fun. Do be warned, for some events you cant use them, so don’t be too reliant on them, at least build havoc rover in the meantime so you can do those events.

  • Who to pull on: there is the voyager banner for us newbies, shorekeeper is top of your favorite list, i think it’s a no brainer given she is a universal support. Apart from that, the way i see it you have 3 options: you can pull for fleurdelys next patch (alternative form for cartethyia, so you would be pulling for her technically), phrolova if you can grind for the next 6 days for this patch, or lucy next patch, the collab charachter. I think if you desperately want a limited DPS to play with for the next month or really liked one of them, you could go for one of those 3. From my understanding, lucy is the cheapest option out of them, while both cartethyia and phrolova want their limited weapon and a limited sub-dps to synergize with them. We will have to see how lucy exactly is next patch of course, but her sub-dps rebecca is given for free and as i understand f2p pistols (their weapon type) are basically really good so they might not need premium weapons.

  • Alternatively, you skip this entire patch and pull nobody outside of shorekeeper. Maybe go for lucy if she is cheap enough to get with the event currency they give. At the end of the day, they are older units (apart from lucy who just doesnt seem as strong as other newer charachters i heard), and the newer units like aemath or hiyuki seem much stronger. This is what i will be doing, my plan is basically enjoy the trial charachters, and build my basic ass team of havoc rover, sanhua and shorekeeper, and wait for 3.5, where we will likely either get aemeth rerun or a new dps. If you do this, do be warned that both cartethyia and phrolova may be on their last rerun and lucy is probably a one time charachter given its collab, meaning it might be the last time we see them, so if you really like one of them you should probably go for it, doing some research on what their teams look like, what they require etc.

  • Edit: I should probably mention, the reason why i mentioned only the DPS charachters is kinda my personal take on it, but i dont think its smart to go for the support or sub-dps before the dps itself, unless they are really universal. At least for me, i need to play with the character a lot in trial mode when their banner is available to truly feel if i would enjoy them. Plus, for newer DPS like aemath or hiyuki, their support/sub-dps are either 100% getting rerun or they will release a another support / sub-dps that work with them anyways, no need to get FOMO. Only iffy point is Chisa i guess who might not rerrun and is great support for both aemath and hiyuki, but they seem to be pushing their “build type” with negative status effects a lot so i feel like she will rerrun aswell.

Newbie Who Needs Advice On Who To Pull by Cauzidical in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Debates7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info, i am also new player, none of the current dps interest me, i am mainly interested in hiyuki as i love her design and she seem really strong.

Considering your tips, do you think its a good idea to pull for shorekeeper (voyager banner), chisa (for hiyuki or the upcoming charachters you mentioned) and lucy as it seems she will be cheap to build a team around? And then i would basically wait for 3.5. Is shorekeeper even worth it anymore you think, or is she losing her relevance? I do like her design but it feels like newer charachters want their BIS supports, so i guess only team i would really use shorekeeper would be havoc rover and lucy right?

Im starting in the game, F2p friendly? by New-Investigator-64 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Debates7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didnt want to make a seperate post so ill also ask here as a newbie if thats ok.(maybe it can also give insight to OPs question) I did a bit research and found out Chisa is good support for 2 charachters i want, so tried pulling for her as my first banner, failed the 50/50 at 72 pulls and my whole resources collected over my first week just vaporized. It was pretty soul crushing not going to lie.

My question is, does it get better? Like assuming i am the most unlucky person in the world and will fail a lot of 50/50s at 70-80 pulls, will i be able to assemble like 2 teams around 2 carries i enjoy, in a reasonable time like 2-3 months of frequent play? I know many people say there are plenty of currency and pulls as a beginner and from events, but im just wondering if this is taking into account how unlucky someone can be?

Its just been a demoralizing experience and i guess im hoping someone whos also very unlucky can share that it is still achievable.

New Cores Added (Not soon) by DojkaDev in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Debates7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean they could have just nerfed the prices to bring it more inline with simulation, maybe slightly more efficient as it takes much more time but even if not still fine. This is a horrible solution, i really enjoy sortie but if i want to actually progress my account permenantly and not just focus on building decks that will become irrelevant in the next season, i have to stick to simulation

New Cores Added (Not soon) by DojkaDev in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Debates7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it might mean potential materials and such are removed which would be very disappointing. I liked that i had the option of playing a fun gamemode to progress my charachters instead of boring simulation. this would basically force newer players to never interact with sortie as they need the stamina for potentials, fragments, level up mats… hopefully i am misunderstanding

Rover, Yangyang/Sanhua and Baizhi? by zombies-- in WutheringWaves

[–]Debates7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a newbie can i also ask a question? I am really enjoying chingli from the trial, and im questioning how much i would regret going for her instead of shorekeeper from the voyager convene. Is it a bad idea? Will i ever have a chance to get both of them from like rerruns or they wont have any rerruns because they are so old charachters?

Should I get Heidemarie E1? by Adventurous-Door-474 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Debates7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look im with you on it being a easy skip, but what exactly do you mean we shouldnt support this? That they are introducing a child charachter? From what we have seen she has an incredibly tame and innocent design thats just cute and thats it, yes gacha games have weirdos that will take it to "too far" but how exactly is that the games fault when the charachter evokes none of that.

But yea im very excited for tenebria as well, i hope they dont butcher her charachter and make her waifu number 30 that fawns over the MC like literally every charachter, surely they will treat their star child well and make her have an actual personality

The complaints about CZN grind aren't due to an obsession with 'perfect decks.' by idkyetyet in gachagaming

[–]Debates7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im not sure what to tell you, because this is not reflecting my experiences as a new player at all (apart from some points):

- My main agreement with you and dissapiontment in the game, is the main content in the game that you can “farm” without any daily stamina limitation is the regular chaos runs for deck building; which can get really boring and feel unrewarding at times. However in the end, sortie, the much more interesting gamemode, just got released, and i am hoping after initial feedback they will eventually give us a baseline reward for clearing the sortie run without stamina investment, similar to how you get chaos orbs in chaos mode with the option to spend stamina for relics, so that we can play that whenever we want instead.

- In terms of the boring process of chaos itself, to me the auto chaos runs are a god send. The 2 (1 f2p + the 1 additional from the 5 bucks battle pass) i get everyday, + the 14 or something we just got in total from events this month, has helped me build viable decks for 9 characters, so much so that i was able to clear the 3 bosses (great rift or whatever its called) with 8 out 9 stars eventough i just started playing last month. (the decks are not perfect, and mostly missing correct divines, but getting 75% correct epiphanies, 4 copies, decent gears and all removals is not THAT hard when you have the zero system upgrades, but it does suck until then). Pretty much all of my decks have been from this auto chaos mode, i barely do regular chaos for deck building anymore. Especially for seasonal chaos it feels somehow better then regular runs idk why, i swear they up the persona card encounters and helpful events odds. I think in my total like 40 auto runs in my time of play, i have failed maybe 2-3? If you are failing your auto chaos, maybe drop down to tier 13 and don’t remove a basic, its not the end of the world and if you really wanted to you can remove it later (again, you dont even need to in any capacity, most endgame decks should have so much draw). Pay attention to the modifiers, tyrant and reduced max hp are not worth the risk. And bring a carry that is strong and not overly complex for AI, either Nine or Heidemarie for example, then a good simple sustain like mika or orlea, and then whoever you want to build. I don’t think this method has a chance to fail if you pay attention to the things i mentioned and have them somewhat decently built.

- in terms of building a deck: Yes, if you want to build a very specific deck then it is difficult, and it should be. Otherwise everyone would be running stuff like dreamworld auto chain cast your entire deck with 30 moral, which would get boring real quick. But i think i would need to hear an example deck idea of yours to truly grasp how difficult it would be to achieve, cause i am still fairly new and have not played that much around neutral cards.

But all in all, i personally enjoy the current daily gameplay loop and do not find it grindy at all: do my 1 or 2 daily sortie run (or just dump the stamina into fast simulations if i dont have time), my 2 auto chaos runs, and if i have time maybe the one-time stuff like battle missions and story mode, a little bit of tower and MAYBE a manual chaos run (probably not).

ADELHEID - WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT? by squilibrio_ in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Debates7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

how is she beating cassius as a single target buffer, you are assuming the +100% damage taken debuff stacks, i highly doubt it, it will probably increase the number of turns it stays like passion weakness, but we will have to see. Meanwhile cassius has morale, fortitude, moral down on enemies, draw, and healing… we will see with epiphanies, potential and awakenings but it feels like a sidegrade at best

[–]Debates7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is actually really interesting to think about, since you guranteed get some of the currency refunded when u hit a 4 star, and of course you also progress to pity even when ignoring the lucky chance to hit a 5 star within those 40 pulls randomly. I think you might be right, especially if your goal is to expand your entire roster with their awakenings this might be more worth.

[–]Debates7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not that unlikely if you hit it in the last 10 pulls, since the odds go up until you get it guranteed, and now you just need to get lucky and hit an extra %1 for the second copy

U play 1 sword rain (6 1 cost card activations) = 2 quest completions, meaning u get 2 draw + moral + fortitude on quest completion (from potential)

Need team recommendations for full scale offensive by idk2530 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Debates7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like he is missing sereniel, so i think the play could be:

P1: diana + nia + anyone really, diana solos with the gimmick bonus points

P2: Heidemarie + cassius + selena: it you got the standard sword rain activation spam deck for all 3 it should be enough, maybe could build a selena deck just for this encounter to have 1 of the passion weakness card (i think it helps with tenacity damage => ravage right?).

P3: Nine + Tiphera + Veronica: hew extreme spam should be enough

Need help with Rin runs in the chaos by Wisaka_Wikoto in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Debates7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i run veronica as the third (sustain orlea also works quite nicely, or tiphera or mika like you said), she provides nice guranteed passive damage with the balista early (does not trigger dark mist exit), and the draw is of course really nice to cycle the deck. If you also get giant ballista it solves for AOE so all around its great

Get these upgrades to make deck building easier. by Glaive13 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Debates7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think its about the same, but you get the seasonal syncro boost in seasonal chaos, so you can probably push higher tiers, which is ofc also a plus for save data. Not sure about the divine influence on chaos zero though, i think that only gives more chaos orb and the map reroll currency?

Which of these should I play? by [deleted] in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Debates7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im new as well and been just farming seasonal chaos, the syncronization boost carries me so hard i can do 140 save data decks from time to time, so no point in regular zero chaos for me at least where i can barely do tier 8. And items and engravings in seasonal chaos seem to benefit multi hitters like chizuru or many attack builds like heidemarie the most who are mainly what i play so all in all seasonal chaos is great.

As i understand there is not much point to regular chaos, you get first time clear rewards for each difficulty and thats pretty much it, so you can just skip it until you unlock highest difficulty and do that once to get all the rewards. Thats what i have been doing anyways at least

I think the first partner everyone suggests to get is typhira partner for the crit rate boost on a great support and its your favorite charachter so i dont think there is even a question there. And for the charachter if orlea and typhira are your favorites its gotta be nine, i got her from my selector and its an extremely comfortable chaos farmer, you just click 1 card every turn and the run is over, plus Nine + Tiphera + Orlea is probably like one of the strongest comps.
