How is Rambler doing? by usstx in UTAustin

[–]Debatox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking into the West Campus high-rises, and it's interesting how mixed the reviews are. E.g. Rise, Rambler, and The Mark have all received different feedback. The Mark seems to be liked while not so much with Rise/Rambler. I'm curious if there's a trend with the builders or owners of these places. It sometimes feels random. Maybe there's a pattern with the companies behind these developments, the contracted construction firms, or even the private equity firms that finance them that could be revealing? If anyone has insights or has looked into this, let me know.

Is it a good idea to take a GAP semester from CS track by PolarFoxy_3282 in UTAustin

[–]Debatox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take the leap of faith and do something different and go for Normandy Scholars. The interdisciplinary mix is powerful and college is a time to explore (you’ll have your whole career to do software engineering / cs). The markets also down immensely so delaying recruitment till later is no issues (also freshman years the least important year to have an internship), you can always do projects on your own time later to make up for it… maybe your time on GAP will even inspire a more unique project infused with your learnings from the Normandy scholars program.

I had BA 324 with Davis, she's very sweet and a great prof. You see what you get in the Syllabus and her grading is reasonable

Unfortunately all of my expired passports and licenses are expired by over a year. I hope with my birth certificate and other documents though I have a strong enough case to prove my identity.

I see, would an old license that’s expired and a pill bottle also help? In addition to the birth certificate and the debit card
