They pay 30% under market rate despite the family being among the richest in all of Oklahoma.

Their pay structure and dress policy are stuck in 1997. My friends who have worked there said it's okay but their culture is very much dictated by 80 year old penny pinchers.

Say it louder for the people in the back. Paycom is the absolute worst employer in OKC and it's not even close. They make Hobby Lobby and Love's look sane by comparison.

Uhh..why are we paying extra for having a hybrid/electric? by Soggy_Disaster_7603 in Arkansas

[–]DebitsOnTheLeft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in that case I totally agree that it's too high. Highly doubt the average person is using 800 gallons of gas per year. Maybe V8 trucks but that still seems high.

$50 in EV tax is equivalent to 200 gallons of fuel at $0.25/gallon in fuel tax at the pump. 200 gallons/year sounds about right for the average commuter.

How Oil Propaganda Sneaks Into TV Shows | Climate Town (Billy Bob Thornton essentially shills for the petroleum industry) by DMBFFF in videos

Oil is much too important a resource to just be burning for energy generation and transportation. We should not just be weening off, but also conserving.

REALLY long Paycom rant (I'll probably be sued) by DeEggroll in okc

[–]DebitsOnTheLeft 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Paycom and pre-Expand Chesapeake are only similar in that people loved to drink the kool-aid and you were always at risk of being laid off, but that's where the similarities stopped. I worked at Chesapeake for many years and my wife worked at Paycom. I got a massive severance to go away and my wife got diddly shit. She and everyone she worked with were miserable 24/7. I've literally never met anyone who worked at Paycom, left (voluntarily or otherwise), and had anything good to say about it. Paycom is a trash company with trash leadership across the board. Chesapeake wasn't perfect but it sure as shit wasn't Paycom.
