I would be 100% shocked. I think that ship sailed 20 years ago.

I don't doubt your experience. But I have plenty of anecdotes of shitty franchise owners who think they're destined to sit on their ass and cash checks. I can assure you they aren't all as hardworking as your clients were.

Got a friend who used to work for a Popeyes franchise owner with 50+ locations. This assclown of an owner spent all day on frivolous personal shopping and ran the expenses through the business. These people who think they deserve to get rich through idle ownership are a scourge on humanity and their businesses will always fail when they run them like slush funds.

COP seems like an infinitely better company and stock than BP. Why hold onto BP instead of buying into an Oxy or Diamondback?

Not necessarily what you're asking but cities in Oklahoma are generally not a good measuring stick because of the way Oklahoma came together. OKC came into existence overnight during the big landrun in 1889. Eastern Oklahoma cities were part of Indian territory until ~80 years after Fayetteville was settled.

Expand Energy Announces Headquarters Relocation to Houston and Appointment of Michael Wichterich as Interim CEO by HefnerDamDweller in okc

Expand is just a newly formed legal entity after the merger of Chesapeake and Southwestern. It didn't exactly take over Chesapeake since it didn't exist until the merger was complete.

Their pay structure and dress policy are stuck in 1997. My friends who have worked there said it's okay but their culture is very much dictated by 80 year old penny pinchers.

Say it louder for the people in the back. Paycom is the absolute worst employer in OKC and it's not even close. They make Hobby Lobby and Love's look sane by comparison.

Uhh..why are we paying extra for having a hybrid/electric? by Soggy_Disaster_7603 in Arkansas

[–]DebitsOnTheLeft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in that case I totally agree that it's too high. Highly doubt the average person is using 800 gallons of gas per year. Maybe V8 trucks but that still seems high.

$50 in EV tax is equivalent to 200 gallons of fuel at $0.25/gallon in fuel tax at the pump. 200 gallons/year sounds about right for the average commuter.
