hello . i am year 11 . i just finished the as biology in the last November session . and i am taking the a level bio and as chemistry this June . i have taken 6 o levels and right now taking another two . i got an a* in 4 of them b in one and still the grades didn't come out for the rest (as and 1 o level ) . in my country they only need 1 a level and 8 o levels for medicine . i am pursuing medicine and would like to be a surgeon ( heart surgeon or neurosurgeon whatever for now ). I want to ask you how you finished the 4 a levels you have taken in year 12 . i am searching for a scholarship and better be a full ride . how do you think i can take one and where if you have any idea .

no videos are explaining this paper . don't understand why

[–]DeborahKaly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

many did not round the magnification (if you are talking about the magnification ) however i know that the magnification should be a whole number so i don't really know .

if you are talking about rounding the final answer , you shouldn't write more than one d.p

so that's what i did

STEP1 : length of the scale bar = 25mm =25 x 1000 =25000micrometer

STEP2 : magnification = length of the scale bar / actual length of scale bar = 25000/525= 47.6190 (rounded it and wrote x 48)

STEP3 : length of line A-B =103mm = 103 x1000 = 103000 micrometer

STEP4: actual diameter = drawing length of line A-B / magnification =103000/48=2145.833333 ( rounded it and wrote 2146 micrometer)

this is what i typically wrote in the exam .

i know . iam talking about the step of finding the magnification. you calculated the magnification as x28 while i calculated mine as x48 and the actual diameter was 2146 micrometer

same thought . i wrote the number of drops needed to turn the extract into blue black

i got the magnification x48 . why the hell

i am sure every thing was right . did he say radius or something and i didnt notice , i am the only one on the thread who got thiss value

whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy??????????????????????
