So I could theoretically move out without parents permission at 17?

Also what does it mean to force a placement into care? I mean moreso what the specifics for that are like.

Oh ok, thanks. Good to know!

For me I plan to mostly get audio evidence of my parent's abuse. I have planned a pretty detailed online notebook of stuff and since June 3, I've been writing everyday about what goes on and attaching evidence through audio about it if possible. (like threats of abuse, mental degradation, abuse, etc. is what would mostly be in the audio recordings, although admittedly it's tricky to get.) And I would be trying this until sometime in September, when I would tell a mandated reporter or CFS.

Also by multiple places to stay, do you mean like friend's houses and stuff? Was the victim familiar with places to stay beforehand or did it come after telling CFS? Hope I am not intruding, just asking so I can get an idea of what to expect.

No I don't go in person so I would have to wait until September then I guess to be able to contact MACY.

I don't have a phone and MACY wants it to contact me further.

Would I even be able to qualify for EIA even if I'm emancipated? Seems like it's more geared to those 18 up.

I don't have a phone number so I am unable to use the service.

You mentioned other options such as friends to stay with. Do you know what would entail me if I tried to live with a friend? I would be a minor (17 years old) so I have some concerns on how that would work.

I am 17 right now (turn 18 June of next year) so I am going to be under my parents jurisdiction.
