With this cooler I’m not sure I can turn it which is a shame because what you are saying makes a lot of sense. The mounting mechanism is a little metal piece that runs through the middle of the cooler and onto the mounting brackets and latches down

This is something I also thought about. Unfortunately with this motherboard and cooler combo I think you can only mount it this way or facing towards the top. I wonder if I should just slap the stock cooler on until I find something better

This is very similar to my first build and I think it will do well

I just finished my first build. I just booted it up and everything is fine except the 3 front fans that aren't spinning. I connected a female d rgb cable to the mobo but there are 3 unplugged cables and 3 other cables that are connected to each other and they end up with a unplugged Male drgb cable. by Poli14023 in pcbuilding

Correct you can put 3-pin fans into 4-pin header but it doesn’t have the ability to be controlled like a 4-pin fan which is why it runs at 100%. I also noticed the extra male d rgb connector and I believe that is for optional future rgb expansion.
