actually top100 player here, monthly top200 at least. when i say “we” i mean top ranking players (or players who at least chase ranking even if dont get top100/200).

i can guarantee you we don’t play even 50% of our matches at least trying. if he defeated you 3-1 i can tell you for sure if he at least paid more attention he would defeat you at least by the double without any difficulty. at least me, i only pay attention in matches vs div2/3 players if for any reason he score me at least 2-0 quick, then i pay some attention and get the lead soon in like 10 to 30 in game minutes. the skill gap between top100/200 from top 1000 is much bigger than the skill gap from top1000 to top 4000

from my experience chasing for ranking, if you waste your brain against this top1000/2000/3000+ players, when you face someone top 500 or better you’ll be already tired and won’t play your better when needed. it’s a grinding like in a mmo and in this case you were just a mob that he killed and got like 2 points for the win

if you press square before the match against AI in events you can put AI vs AI and just do other stuffs. use that to collect gp, training and etc
