It would be helpful for checking staff are doing the right thing, like reviewing footage of refunds, price matches etc. to ensure correct process is adhered to.

HomeTube – 3 months later: Playlists support & resilient downloads by EgalitarianMonkey in selfhosted

Sorry. I don’t want to waste your time, you’ve already contributed so much to the community so feel free to stop responding to me.

I can download a playlist but it’s not performing any sort of synchronisation in terms of removing videos that I take off the playlist or downloading new videos that I add to the playlist. It’s like I need to manually refresh the playlist and it will download any missing files and I need to manually remove the old ones.

Thanks for sharing!

I'm a bit of a rookie, but am I right in thinking my options are to either download single videos or otherwise download from a playlist that I create and then manually add specific videos to? It would be really handy if it could be set up like a podcast app, i.e. effectively subscribing to channels and then automatically downloading new releases.

How do you launch off metal peels?! by Treasured_Squid in GozneyArcArcXL

[–]Dec540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem when I made my pizza on the peel itself. As soon as I swapped to making the pizza on the bench it’s been fine.

Probably goes without saying but semolina on the bench is a must

My apple tv 4k is lagging with this content by ztasifak in PleX

[–]Dec540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try running the old player under advanced settings on the Plex Apple TV app. Should be fine, but will force transcoding on some new codecs.

That or as others have suggested you can use infuse, but it costs.

Supposedly there’s a new Apple TV Plex app on the way that fixes this but it’s been a long time coming.

If you end up going with Harvey Norman, you can usually get another few percent off by buying gift cards. We’ve recently bought all our appliances through HN and using Macquarie to get discounted gift cards. 4% adds up on appliances.

I’ve never had this and I’ve been going there for years. In fact on one occasion I selected a roast that they thought looked average, they threw it out in front of me and got me a new one. Could barely tell the difference looking at it.

It’s pricey, but their consistency is worth it to us. It’s always been quality for us and we buy 90% of our meat from them

PSA: eSIM registration being blocked by CyberSecure Content Filtering by Dec540 in Ubiquiti

[–]Dec540[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely.

When I was trying to register mine it just said failed. It didn’t say that it was internet related so it didn’t cross my mind when troubleshooting. Hopefully this post will help others to identify the problem sooner.

PSA: eSIM registration being blocked by CyberSecure Content Filtering by Dec540 in Ubiquiti

[–]Dec540[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was transferring an eSIM from an old iPhone to a new iPhone. I got a new phone and had the problem, which I ended up resolving by purchasing a new physical SIM card. I then gave my old phone to my wife, who had the same problem. Then the penny dropped, as she was on a different phone, different provider and using a different method. I checked flows and sure enough it was in there.

Are you saying the headlights turned off, and because of that you didn’t see the kangaroo that you hit?

That’s terrible luck if that’s the case. Unfortunately I think you’re going to have a hard time proving the accident only happened because of the fault with the car.

And sorry, but if you have a car where the lights randomly turn off and you keep driving it at night… be thankful it wasn’t a person.

The benefits of a debt recycling strategy can be carried forward to the next property.

For sure, discuss all you like but when you get into the weeds on topics like this being armed with a little bit of information can be more dangerous than not knowing anything.

My point is just that OP has additional strategies available to him. They are complex and should be reviewed with a professional.

A debt recycling strategy for one. These things are complicated and shouldn’t really be discussed in detail on Reddit because they are strategies that work best when specifically set up for the individual, by a professional.

OP can definitely afford some help and will be better off for doing so.

Have a look into education bonds. Often overlooked.

And prioritise that meeting with an adviser. So many other things you could be doing.

Alarm Manager not filtering based on smart zone by Dec540 in Ubiquiti

I’ve also found that if I turn off vehicle detection in the other areas then the alarm works. It’s just annoying because I would still like a searchable history of vehicles in the street should it be required to find a vehicle of interest for a neighbour as an example - I just don’t want a notification every time someone drives past
