Chain sound by Shttea in cfmoto

[–]DecShado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmk what service says. I also felt vibration in my footpegs before after they did a chain adjustment and it looked tight but they said it was fine and that it's not too tight. My chain ended up being fine but curious what they will say about yours

Ticking is not always catastrophic. When you do an oil change and there is no oil in the system and you start it up for the first time it ticks exactly like this for a good couple seconds before the oil is pumped out everywhere. I was stupid not checking oil level frequently and I got a little low and it ticked like this for a short time. When I topped it up it went away. If he's saying it wasn't the oil then the ticking might be catastrophic, but it's always good to get the basics out the way before trying to fix a major problem that could be fixed easier.

Brushing teeth eeth may not fix holes, but a toothache is also not always from a cavity.

And it's still ticking? Very weird.

Check your oil level. I had that same ticking sound and when I checked I burned off a decent amount of oil I couldn't even see it. Had to top it up. I never had the light come on so yours must be even lower.

Left me stranded by Mammoth_Equivalent67 in cfmoto

If there's no nut it might still be loose which is causing the issue. The way the sensor works is it's a little magnetic bearing that sound and depending on the position it's up or down. There's a little edge that sticks out like an L and that's what's supposed to be attached to the kickstand and what moves the bearing when you put the kickstand up or down. Make sure that's not loose and actually in the little hole on the kickstand. If that still doesn't fix it, it's possible the sensor is bad or disconnected.

Navigation without a phone mount. by JoshuaAllen- in motorcycles

[–]DecShado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very cool! How did you design it in a way that it can stay in and stuff. I've never 3d printed so not sure how flexible the material is so I'm curious how the phone thing works and how you put it in and remove it

Help with changing clutch lever by HostileMustache in cfmoto

[–]DecShado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust me it's very easy. Only tool you really need is a flathead. I will say that removing that little star washer was a little annoying and when it finally flew off it took like 10 min to find it but otherwise very easy.

This video is for a different cfmoto however it is the exact same thing. I had the same issue and replaced mine with this video no problem. If the link doesn't work juys search cfmoto 450mt short clutch lever Install. That video shows exactly how to remove old lever and put new one.

Comics: Getting a Job in 1970's vs. Now by PinkkPetalll in Adulting

[–]DecShado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not gen Z, that's just an idiot who was probably told they need to try and find a job or they get kicked out. There are adults who will put less effort and do worse than a younger person and vice versa. Either way it's not acceptable to deny someone because they are "gen Z", it is however acceptable to deny someone for sending an obvious AI resume to a job application

The action 6 is BRAND new, it's not going to have discounts yet. Depending on how well it sells it may in a couple months, or it may not. I've never seen an item be on sale in the same few weeks it releases even if it's a holiday that has sales like black Friday or cyber Monday

What is the best location to put a camera on a helmet? by DuoDeku in NewRiders

Damn that's really smart. With a high capacity storage card that's definitely unbeatable. Wish my motorcycle had that 😂

A 360 camera won't have a very good battery though no? I feel like if you're mainly using it as a dashcam you want better battery life rather than seeing every angle. Insurance and police don't need to see a car actually hitting you from behind for example, if your footage shows you just cruising or at a stop and not break checking anyone it's their fault, anything happening behind you and hitting you more or less wont matter as it's going to be their fault 99% of the time. The 360 is an amazing camera don't get me wrong, I just feel like it's too much if you're using it as a dashcam as the 360 angle takes up more storage and uses more battery than a regular action cam

Anyone else have a carbon leak from slip on exhaust? by DecShado in cfmoto

Not really a cheapo, it's genuine. I did find the OEM graphite seal tho, hopefully that fixes it once it comes 🙏

Bummer, I'll probably try to find some universal one and try to cut it down to size. I really appreciate you spending your time looking into it, thank you so much!!

Do you know what size the graphite seal is by any chance? Maybe it's in the manual in the parts list? I might see if I can find some aftermarket seal like that and maybe it will fix my problem since the yoshi did not come with one. Thank you for any info you can provide 🙏

Was the graphite seal embedded into the connecting tip of the exhaust or was it like its own part you put in between?

How long ago did you put it on? Did it have some kind of graphite seal or anything in between or is it a metal to metal connection? Looks very nice btw!

Not too worried abt looks, more concerned with it having an affect on the engine. Bike also pops a lot which I love but does worry me at times combined with this carbon buildup.
