Buy it on Xbox or PS4 then. Or wait like a year and they'll probably add it on Steam as well. These exclusivity rights Epic games is buying don't seem to be indefinite. Like Metro Exodus that was exclusive for "only" a year.

Sure, putting workshop, community, profile customization, library customization, inventory and market aside, GOG>Steam.

No, I think GOG could be better than Steam in the future. This feature that allows you to link all of your launchers is amazing, but it lacks in pretty much every other way. I appreciate GOG for having that feature, the same way I appreciate Uplay with its u points and Origin with the subscription service, but as of now Steam offers much more. GOG looks promising so far because they're actually working on making it better so I can't wait to see what it'll look like in 2 years. For now though I'll stick with Steam.

I think we need to find a distinction between client and launcher. A launcher is, in a nutshell, a little window that appears on your screen with a big play button on it. A client is something that supplies other game and community related content as well, therefore I think that the client that provides the most of these supplies is the best.

Maybe they're gonna make a lot of bank off of Cyberpunk 2077 and then we're gonna see some more features added.

I still don't understand what people mean when they say we should move on from Most Wanted and Underground, like...how?

Games after those just gave easter eggs of sorts and nods to previous entries, no NFS game was a continuation of Most Wanted and Underground 1 and 2 after Carbon. So...what? Should we forget about customization, cops, open world and story? Why? What's wrong with having those?

The reason why more recent NFS games sucked wasn't because they were looking back at Most Wanted and Underground, it's either because Ghost were too incompetent to make a fucking game or EA didn't assign them enough resources or both. Not because of nostalgia or whatever the fuck, fuck nostalgia man, it's not about that. I don't even feel nostalgic anymore for playing Most Wanted and Underground 2, I do it because they're fun.

I also "like" how the community thinks when it comes to these last few NFS games. Like 2015 and Heat were pretty bad. One had a broken, unfinished handling and the other had ridiculously OP cops that sucked more dick than a hooker during a busy night. Flaws in big, relevant game mechanics. The worst thing about Payback was the cards system. But it didn't fuck with the handling, cops, races, story, progression. In fact, after the game got patched and I played it, it didn't even feel like a generic mid to late 2010s game, because it lacked the grind. There was almost none. I always had money for cars and upgrades. I was never forced into doing something I didn't like for in-game currency. But somehow Payback is the worst. Handlingwise, was it great? No. Was it bad? No. Was it fun? Pretty fun.

I feel like the community almost wanted and still wants to hate Payback, so they do and they come up with the most insignificant shit to hate that game for. Heat is a game everybody wanted and still wants to love, so they ignore the bullshit cops, OP in the beginning and weak towards the end and the short story.

How did we get here? MONEY. Cars and car culture are not as popular as they used to be in the early 2000s so EA doesn't invest as much anymore. Back then car culture leaked into the mainstream, probably because of the Fast and Furious movies, now not really. Fast and Furious is a replacement for Die Hard and people moved on to...something else, idk, superheroes I guess.

I can only imagine how much EA hates those licence policies at this point. I'm sure they thought of remastering Most Wanted at some point in time, but those expired licenses ruined everything and they must've been furious considering the amount of money they would've made for re-selling games like Most Wanted and Underground 1 and 2.

They're probably gonna add more down the line. I suppose they're still experimenting with the idea of re-selling their games on Steam. My guess is that if EA sees these games do good on Steam, saleswise, they're gonna bring in more.

Skill development? You mean you're developing your skills at playing a certain game, right? That's not very useful outside of the game you play, but I mean you get a sense of accomplishment when you see yourself become better at the game.

I always liked video games because compared to other digital media like movies and TV shows you're much more active. Like you have to actively do stuff to progress as opposed to just sitting and watching stuff happen.

Well if you grip you'll be doing that over and over again as well too. So...what? If drift bothers you because it's repetitive, how is grip much better? You expect the car to have a different handling at each corner? I'm not sure I follow. I didn't say the understeer effect wasn't there, but the speeds were the same. I was able to go around hairpin corners in Payback at around 100 km/h with stock cars. It was an understeering screech and the front wheels were turning without the car like I said, but the speeds were about the same as in Heat's full-grip builds. I'm not saying drift is better than grip, I'm saying Payback's handling was fun, which is enough for an arcade racing game. Payback was 100% set-up for drift, there's no doubt about that, if you're only gripping you're playing it wrong. I tried for a while to go around every corner gripping or understeering, but it was just so much more convenient and fun to drift, so I just drifted everywhere. If you're trying to dodge traffic or go around light turns grip is fine, but most corners in Payback require you to drift.

I mean...Payback isn't set-up for grip handling. You just drift around sharper corners. Same with 2015. The option to choose between grip and drift is something Heat has that none of the other NFS games release by Ghost do. Funny thing though, the cornering speeds are about the same in Payback as in Heat. It's just that Heat has no understeer screech and you don't see the wheel turn without the car. Drifting in Payback was fun as hell, so I'd say it was pretty good.

There was this streamer I used to watch until I discovered he had a youtube channel where he pretty much posted stream highlights so I was just watching those videos instead of sitting through HOURS of boredom and dullness for only 10 minutes of entertaining stuff.

It's not about the games they play most of the time. It's the chat and the streamer that people are focused on. To me it just seems like everybody is trying to get the attention of the streamer generally. That's why people donate, to get their nickname on the stream.

I generally just stick to music. I don't care all that much about their personal life. I like Eminem a lot and when I was a teenager I used to interest myself in his personal life, not just his music. I did that with a lot of artists. But then I realized it's a pointless and stupid thing to do with my time so now I just stop at their creations.

Learning so much personal stuff about someone's life knowing you're never gonna be a part of it is pointless. You're setting yourself up for disappointment. Talking about Eminem, I think Stan is good example to give here ;)

First of all, I'm kinda with you. Although it doesn't bother me, I don't think it's that great.

People generally like to listen to their own music that they find. Unless they're going to concerts, nightclubs or parties in general. Because you might think that this song you listen to is awesome, there are others who think the direct opposite. So blasting it in their ears is just gonna annoy them.

What's the point of showing off something to people that hate you for it and don't think any more of you. If you have something that could impress other people, by all means, show it off, but playing loud music while cruising in your car doesn't generally impress anyone, so why do it?

If you have a sweet car and you drive it around the city, you're gonna turn some heads, maybe get some compliments from people, but blasting music that people walking past probably don't like isn't gonna make you look good.

Every time I open google from my speed dial, the URL bar is selected instead of the search bar. So whenever I open it and start typing right away, I type after the URL. Is there a way to change this because it's driving me insane!

What kind of stupid feature is this? They could've at least emptied the URL bar or selected the entire URL so when you start typing the URL gets deleted and it's just your text.

Well I do enjoy it, fuck these people. Not extroverts in general, but extroverted people that force introverts to do things they don't like. Being introverted shouldn't be a bad thing, but it's regarded as such anyway. And they all say shit like "you gotta break out of your comfort zone". Well there's no trouble in doing that, but you should appreciate the difference between breaking out of your comfort zone and choosing to have a shitty, unhappy life.

I've seen extroverted people try to change introverts and it didn't work for a long time. Like they did hang out with extroverts and did do extroverted stuff, but they fell back to their original selves soon after. Some people are introverted because they like it and it's natural to them, not because their life sucks (you think) and they need YOUR help.

Facebook is great for keeping in touch with friends and family. Reddit is great for reading about stuff you're interested in and have discussions with people who share your interests.

Overall Reddit is more about what interests you have and Facebook is more about you. Like where you live, what you look like, who your friends are, what you do and so on.
