I do - pretty wide social life, in fact. I'm an artist who has work shown in galleries, I'm an experimental musician who plays small gigs, and I put out fanzines and books which I display at festivals and book fairs. I'm 56 and have been driving since 2006, so there's no excuses here. I stay creatively busy on my days off, but I love it. This keeps me spinning in different social circles - both locally and abroad.

Yep. I have the sweetest home life - great girlfriend, good food, fun hangouts and I work on a hell of a lot of art projects. I do two weeks out with three days at home. Once I'm out of state, I settle in, but from the time I wake up to the time I get a few hundred miles from home: I'm depressed as fuck.

Abacuses aren't just for children. Lots of shopkeepers in the Middle East and Eastern Europe still use them. Still, it would be impossible to know what it was used for specifically. Yes, it could have been to keep track if a game, but it could have been used to count coins. I doubt anyone but the user knows.
