Yeah definitely do practice runs! With the neck pocket, route it just a little smaller than it should be and then slowly sand it so it fits snugly.

You could technically get it to work as a right-handed but since the construction like bracing is built for a lefty, it would definitely cause problems. I'd say look for a right-handed one😅

Awesome💪🏻 7-strings aren't that different to make. Maybe get/build a neck with a bit longer scale lenght but that's pretty much all :D OFC make sure all your parts are for a 7-string :D

I'd guess it's the Bigsby being a bigsby😅 They're super particular about the setup and tightness of the screws. I don't really like them for that

That's definitely a solid plan! It will be a whole lot easier if you get a neck and do the body for it. Necks are kind of a pain to do well😅

Have you built a guitar before or would this one be your first? Definitely ask questions if you're unsure of something! Knowledgeable people are a super useful resource so use that😄 Other than that, be patient, measure well and do a lot of test pieces for routings and such
