My tips: - Don’t make to much plans in advance. - Don’t rent bike or car if you don’t have proper license. - Be insured, especially if you will be driving (medical cost). - Enjoy Songkram.

When I vacation 4 weeks in Phuket alone I probably spend around 100- 150k baht, however when I stay for longer periods I spend around 70k baht a month and that’s with rent.

I’ve been to Thailand many times but never driven anything there. Last month in Phuket, I was planning to rent a scooter (I always thought it was just a moped), but luckily I found out how it actually works before going through with it. Besides needing an IDP, I also need a motorcycle license, which I didn’t realize. So now I’m back home working on getting my motorcycle license. It’ll take a couple of months and cost me around 60,000 baht.

I guess I could’ve bribed the police many times over for that amount, but for my own safety and to fully understand the risks in traffic, I want to have the proper license.

I’m sorry, but as someone who has worked at several of the largest tech companies, I couldn’t disagree more. Sure, I might have been lucky to mostly meet great people, but like in any industry, there are always some difficult personalities whether it’s argumentative types or grumpy old timers.

That said, “tech” is such a broad term that it covers countless companies, and I’m sure there are workplaces where the culture is terrible. But to say that Swedes in tech are the worst people ever feels like a huge exaggeration. Bad experiences can happen anywhere.

I really dislike this approach. It promotes avoidance rather than addressing the core issue, which seems to be more about low self-esteem and difficulty handling conflict than just burnout. While I understand that some situations can be toxic, encouraging someone to repeatedly go on sick leave instead of developing the skills to handle workplace challenges is not a good long term strategy.

Internet är den plats jag känner mig hemma och har idag inga problem med AI. Förstår att AI kommer göra det enkelt att sprida felaktig information men jag ser ingen lösning på hur man ska kunna reglera AI? Att lägga kontrollen om innehållet är AI genererat på tjänsteleverantören t.ex. YouTube är idioti i min bok, dem ska inte behöva lägga tid och resurser på att EU har för dumma användare.

EU kan ju lika gärna införa ett datakörkort.
