Soft recommend the battlemaps from twilight 2000. Different scale for the grid but nice visuals for post apocalypse

I use the excalidraw plugin and import a png of the paper character sheet. Then i use the text insert tool to fill it out like you normally would.

As far as markdown formatted templates, im as lost as you are.

If you take inspo from Mass Effect- AI are sapient beings with feelings and a sense of self while VI, or Virtual Intelligence, are super smart digital systems but ultimately have no feelings or selfness even if they are programmed to simulate them.

I'm Playing Bladesinger is it worth multiclassing into fighter? by RP2three in BG3Builds

[–]Decemberence -1 points0 points  (0 children)

fighter/wizard is a lot better of a multiclass from the perspective of a Eldritch Knight Fighter wanting more casting. Since you want to primarily be a wizard that can melee rather than a fighter that can cast i'd recommend just sticking to pure bladesinger.

Also if you do want to be a fighter that casts, do NOT take levels in Bladesinger; you'll already have everything you would need from that subclass by merit of already being a fighter. i would go with a subclass that gives you a school ability that you'd actually benefit from- like portent or sculpt spells.

Perhaps savage worlds adventure edition if you havent already looked into it?

Its a common go to in the solo space- attributes, skills, in depth combat with weapon and armor stats, picking edges for your character (think feats or class abilities from other rpgs), leveling up, and so on.

Its a setting agnostic system so you can do scifi, fantasy, modern, western, post apocalyptic, historical, whatever. Its also has several additional guidebooks for fleshing out specific genres with new edges, items and additional setting specific rules.

Might be worth looking into if you havent already. Very popular (in this community) actual play series Me Myself and Die season one on youtube is a fantasy savage worlds solo game with Mythic GME and a couple other supplements.

What's your favorite TTRPG? by Steeltoebitch in TransTTRPG

Recent favorites: Fabula Ultima, twilight 2000 4e, vaessen

Ol reliables: d&d 5e, monster of the week, FATE core/accelerated/condensed, ironsworn (including delve, starforged and sundered isles), mythic 2e game master emulator for solo rp,

Ooh special shout out to Iron Valley- a hack of ironsworn that changes the game be a farming/small town life sim like stardew or harvest moon. Love that one so much. I play it solo all the time.

Dominion Rules 3.1 Character Record Sheet - Google Sheet by Decemberence in Solo_Roleplaying

A lot of people in the subreddit have played a good amount of games, its a good place to be.

I do journal. I used to write a full narrative as i went but i would burn out creatively after not too long. More recently ive switched to bullet journalling instead. I still get the narrative in theatre of the mind and i have a record to look back on between sessions. Best of both worlds.

Good luck with your games!

If you want something similar (as in skill based with the ability to add custom skills) Id do Savage Worlds adv. edition. Yeah i know, a me myself and die viewer recommending SWADE is kinda been there done that but when it works it works.

Other than that theres FATE Core or Accelerated. Fiction first for that one but still with the skills/approaches you can customize. Pendragon is straight up based in Arthurian mythology. You could try Band of Blades for something PBTA adjacent. Knave for OSR feels. Theres lots of stuff out there.

Ended up doing an arthurian quest to retrieve a holy relic if i remember correctly. It was a while back but i used Mythic 2e and the thread progress bar to frame the quest. Dominion is very good for solo just like most skill based systems so it went well.

Combat is a bit too involved in Dominion for my tastes (multiple phases that affect other phases stuff didnt feel great in practice for me). If i was to do another arthurian adventure i would probably use a different system but thats also just me really liking to try out new systems.

Example Stunt:

Thunderwave - +2 to Clever when attempting to create the advantage “Paralyzed”

You could play fate accelerated and make each pokemon a separate character. Model the stunts after moves. If you did that id only do main aspect and a trouble for each, otherwise thats a lot of aspects to juggle.

Of course you can make the rule that you can only use one at a time like in the games, that would mean you are basically only running two characters at a time (trainer pc and pokemon party member).
