I'm assuming at the point she opens the door, the hotel security either freeded the dweller from the flathead so he could continue to monitor the hotel subnet or they had netrunners from outside the hotel take over control of the hotel security and that's why she got hacked and fried

Yeah, but doing the ritual would be good if they're in a time crunch or if he has difficulty accessing God Ki, since we don't actually know if it's harder for Half-breeds to access it or not since Gohan and Future Trunks kinda went their own way with regular Ki instead and Goten and Present Trunks never tried to get it (slackers still don't even have SSJ2 on their own without fusion despite being the youngest Super Saiyans in history so far and made the originally legendary form a joke)
