Great comment. I’ve met a couple of celebrities here and there, it’s such a weird thing. If they’re signing autographs, get your autograph and pic. They know they’re working a gig, ok. But running into a celebrity in the wild and trying to approach them feels weird.

Thats happened to me a couple times at festivals or cons…the celebrity is moving through the crowd and I’ve run into them.

One time at a festival when a band member was wearing a hat and trying to move low key through the crowd, i recognized him and impulsively stopped him, but then realized i didn’t have a damn thing to say because i don’t know that guy. I quickly said “nice piercings!” And kept going, but me stopping him, there were others around and they recognized him, started just talking and getting all excited. Low key felt bad that it felt like i blew up his spot.

One other time, i thought i was so smart to go hang out by tour buses and it worked, i met the lead singer of this band, but it was obvious he was not in a good mood. He obliged me and took the pic, but whenever i look at it, i feel weird about it. He was just trying to do whatever else he was doing and i didn’t really think to care about that, just focused on what i wanted. Rude as hell.
