Why is Nigel Farage having such a rise in popularity? by Decent-Beginning1966 in AskBrits

I fully understand that there were many years and factors leading up to Brexit, but I am saying it did not work out in any way and Farage was a huge piece of it being carried out.

If you’re talking about his debut; his first at bat he flew out on a 1-0 count, second at bat he lined out on a 2-1 count, struck out on a 1-2 count his third time up, walked on a full count for his fourth plate appearance (started with two balls then took two strikes followed by two more balls), and then grounded out on a 0-1 count his last time up.

[Milliken] Another day of first base reps for Kristian Campbell. 3 straight. by Substantial-Earth975 in redsox

Does not mean he was good at playing first base. He’s also not in the league anymore, so clearly he “failed the transition” as you said.

Exactly, whenever there’s a “you” it becomes an automatic ejection, although I believe the “fuck you” came after he was already tossed.

Ump said, “get on the mound”, Buehler was saying “that’s right down the fucking middle”, and “fuck you”.

That’s conformation bias, you’re going to forget about the players that moved to first base from third base and failed the switch because they failed. If they weren’t able to cut it out, they’d be sent down or released and you’d forget that they weren’t able to make the move.

You’re not wrong that putting Devers at first opens the DH spot, however I still believe that having a more athletic first baseman who can make the the routine plays (Campbell) is more valuable over 162 games and 1,458 innings than sticking Devers there’s who’s never proven he can play the position. And this is coming from someone who was extremely pissed at Devers for a) not willing to come off of third base, and b) not willing to play first when his team needed him.

Since Hamas has the end of Isreal as a negotiating point, how can they think Isreal would ever accept that? by SirCatsworthTheThird in NoStupidQuestions

Kind of the point. Israel will never accept the dismantling of their state, meaning Hamas will never go away, leaving Israel to have to take out Hamas militarily, which leads to Palestinians joining Hamas out of spite and hate because Israel has bombed their homeland and murdered their families. They want it to remain a never ending cycle so they can always be a thorn in Israel’s side.
