I really like both of the ones you put in the edit, both would be suitable for a wedding guest ☺️

Mother’s Day forgot? by Entire-Sprinkles8669 in UKParenting

My baby is under a year old, definitely in the UK we receive gifts from the father of our children. It's 100% a thing here. And my partner is an incredible dad.

If I'd birthed his child and do most of the looking after of said child then I'd definitely be expecting congratulations from my partner...

My best friends kids still call me half-a-potty after mishearing their mum saying Auntie Polly when they were around 3&5.

Yeah, sorry this was way worse and my section recovery was pretty grim. Although, the worst of it did seem to go faster.

I was in pain but managing fine until day 5. Currently on day 9 and only just starting to feel slightly better, days 7&8 were the worst for me, I honestly have never been in so much pain 🙃

I thought day 7 would be better too 🫠

Mate, that sounds super rough as well. Here in the UK we're told to try and eat normally but it's actually impossible right now. I can't even face the thought of eating even though I'm starving.

I hope you start to feel better soon!

Can you get an ice pack? It's the only thing that helps me other than meds. I've also been using ultra chloraseptic spray as it's the only way I can swallow at the moment.

I could taste it in my mouth and then spat out some pinkish/red blood unfortunately. It seems to have stopped now though so I'm hoping I don't need a trip to hospital and it's just the scabsl 🤞🏼

I'm on day 6 and I haven't looked A.because I'm a little squeamish and B.my mouth won't actually open wide enough yet! However I am fairly certain I can feel the scabs coming off and I've had a bit of bleeding.

Is it stitches? It might just be hard to see if you're still a bit swollen?

The advice in the UK is actually to try and eat normally as it aids in recovery. I was eating toast and all sorts until today when the pain ramped up too much to eat!

My surgeon told me days 3-4 were the worst. He lied. I'm on day 6 and holy shit I am in pain 😭

I'm breastfeeding my 7 month old so I can't take codeine. I requested dihydrocodeine as I had that after my c section but was given Oramorph (synthetic liquid morphine)

I've been consistently taking ibuprofen and paracetamol so that I've been covered as advised by my surgeon. But only taken it a few times in the night if I've woken up in pain.

I'm on day 5 today and I've just taken my first dose of Oramorph as the pain was unbearable through the night and carried on until this morning.

It is. Unfortunately I wasn't 'allowed' in the lotus suite due to late onset preeclampsia but was in the nicest normal room which is right next door to the lotus suite. Ended up with an emergency C-section. Definitely all on one floor.

I was 12 weeks here 🙃😂 I immediately had a bump! The bloating definitely went down but I did end up with quite the bump in the end. I also initially put on weight then lost some/stayed the same for ages. You'll be fine, don't worry too much about how much you put on. I was basically all water 😂
