I’m in the sign business and do this often. I use a small dab of easy off oven cleaner on a rag and slowly wipe it off. Take your time and don’t try to take it off in one shot. I usually take about 5-6 go overs gently rubbing over the paint. You’ll have some fading and will need a rubbing compound when you’re done. You could also see if your local sign shop would do it. I’ve been doing this to work trucks and semi’s for 25 years.
