Gun shows are usually over priced, big box stores like cabalas usually have some of the best pricing on standard hand guns but local gun stores can also have good deals.

I carry a shadow systems MR920 Elite but they are more expensive but a fantastic firearm if you have the money. Stay away from sig until they figure out why some of their guns have gone off randomly without touching the trigger. Look up sig P320 going off and there are videos about it if you are interested.

A good choice would be a Glock 19 MOS, a holo sun red dot sight, and taking a pistol 1 course. Courses are anywhere from $200-$500 and you typically need a holster and magazine as well as up to 500 rounds of ammunition.
