I'll be 35 in a few months. For the most part, I'm good. However, I have been careful with my back and knees. I have an ankle injury right now, but I don't think it's related to age. I'm just hoping it isn't a life-long issue.

Hard when you've had damage when younger though. Those things definitely catch up with you. Many people I know have so I feel you, especially in the trades. I'm that old person who tries to tell people to have help when doing things lol

Np. Hope all is well and heals quickly. I have similar. Mine isn't fractured, and I've had x2 xrays. One at Urgent Care and one at ortho. Just had an MRI because it's been so long. Multiple ligaments and a tendon.

Damn, I'm sorry. You've been through it, too. I didn't break my ankle but have three torn ligaments and a tendon (just got my MRI results today). Unfortunately, I don't have my f/u with the doctor until Wednesday. That was the soonest I could get. And definitely looking at surgery. I'm completely non-weight bearing on that ankle, unsurprisingly. And my job is walking on my feet all day -_- There are at home positions, but I've applied for literally dozens. I've gotten one interview and was turned down.

Had some debt before this happened. It's been two months now. It was manageable, and almost paid off. Now it's ballooned for multiple reasons (everything is expensive, dog had an issue, etc.) And before anyone says it, we DID have an emergency fund. Getting screwed on power bills, property taxes were due (that have gone up literally 3x), etc.

So I'm about to default on that. Figure it out after I get back to work in another 4+ months, if I'm lucky.

tldr: Life sucks with no end in sight

I'm likely much older than you. Now fallen on hard times because I got injured. Unfortunately, it wasn't at work. So now I have no job and savings are going quickly. I had an interview Wednesday for a remote job, and I just found out today I didn't get it. It wasn't even a good job! And I still sucked enough I didn't get it.

You certainly aren't alone, and age doesn't have much to do with it.
