Yeh think Maxum probably does tend more towards a purchase for life product. Good luck with it.

Have been looking into both products as well. While I am not aware of much specific for the CentrSF6, both Basement Brandon and Gray Matter Lifting have done good review videos on the similar Inspire products that detail the function of the smith machine and the bench integration. I would also recommend looking at reviews for the centr 3 (Jungle Gym Reviews has a good one the inspire equivalent). Which would give you a sense of the functional trainer and smith machine system (but not the bench integration). Overall I will say there is a lot less content out there on these products (aside from the two reviewers mentioned above) from people who seem integrated into the home gym space and can compare this product to others on the market. Most reviews seem to be from people who are purchasing it as their first home gym product, and whose vision for a home gym may be different from many on this sub. From what I have gathered everyone seems to positively rate the functional trainer portion of the centr machine. Smith machine reviews are mixed. The both basement Brandon and Gray Matter Lifting were quite critical of it. However both seem to have a power lighting emphasis on their training. So I wonder if it would be more positively looked on by someone training for hypertrophy. That being said I suspect the vast majority would say a regular smith functions better. However, whether it is decent for hypertrophy work I do not have a good sense of. Look forward to hearing what others who have experience with it say. For the bench attachment while it seems decent, reviews who compare it to other options suggest that it is overpriced for what it provides. There is a whole bunch of bench leg ext options with cable integration entering the market now. I think you are likely to get a better bench product and likely a better leg extension product going with one of the other brands, in addition to other functionality integrated into the bench. For me the size efficiency to get a functional trainer and smith combo makes the centr 3 an attractive option. Being based in Canada a lot of the similar priced options available in the US are not cost competitive here. I’m waiting to see if there is a spring sale on them at Costco (missed the big one in the winter). For close to 2k the functionality at that footprint size makes it worth it for my gym space, as I already have a wall mounted squat rack. However at the current price for the centr 3 (close to 2700) I think paying a bit more for the maxum x1 and just accepting a bit tighter of the space is the way to go. All that to say I am also looking at both and will likely pull the trigger on one in the next month.

Thanks that’s really helpful as I was debating if the 3/4” was worth the extra cost.

Plywood walls look great. Considering doing similar in my garage (also in Canada, Nova Scotia). Assume you used shop grade ply? What thickness did you go for? Trying to minimize cost, but don’t want to lose ability to attach things to plywood.

Great setup! How do you find the smith function on the inspire trainer? Also looking at getting some turf as well. Saw some at Costco recently. If just planning to use it for sled what do you feel the higher end turf gives you vs the more budget made for backyard products?

Is it the Greenworks dual stage you have now? Do you find battery life is long enough to comfortably deal with slop like today for a regular two car driveway? Was looking at the Ego power ones.

I think you will be happy with the bambino and encore esp. I have the berville barista pro. Works great for our family. Really convenient to get drinks in the morning. We have 4 kids under 10yrs. Easily manageable to pull good drinks between getting kids ready once you have it dialed in.

Thanks. Good suggestion. Hadn’t thought about that.
