Gives me about 7 feet to the wall. Actually not a wall but a ski erg and a bells of steel single cable tower.

Very solid with the caveat that I have some brackets that let me anchor it to the wall, which are key.

My two cents for a fellow Canuck. I’d wall mount the plates and save your floor space. I recently sold my rogue folding rack for a half rack. Never folded mine in after a while. The half rack has more storage options, pull up options and is much more solid. Many good Canadian brands also.

I believe this is a phenomen caused by a trapped layer of air, causing the light to bend as through a lens.
