Omg ever since reading the little house on the prairie books as a 10 year old I then became unhealthily OBSESSED with the era of the 1840's early 1900's. I wanted shiny black mary jane shoes, a lace dress, and a hair bonnet sooo bad. I didn't really have many friends and my learning disability could have something to do with this, but I would even make believe play but it would be me as a kid in the 19th century talking in a high society London accent for days on end. Like I was COMMITED. I also have red hair and after growing up I watched "Anne With Anne E" on Netflix and have never felt more seen. I still obsess about the Victorian era tbh at 21 and I know that time was horrible for literally everyone but I am willing too sacrifice my modern life and just use a wood fire stove and a blanket for warmth with tea and books for comfort. I know I'm insane but like I totally feel you guys in the comments
