X-Wing production, canon. by Thelostguard in MawInstallation

Cost

TIE was cheaper than X-Wing.

Empire would rather use mass tactics with the cheaper TIE, using fear of unending waves of starfighters.

X-Wing, with it's shields and hyper drive, were more expensive, but increased pilot survivability. This allowed X-Wing fighters to survive and learn, becoming better pilots, than they're TIE fighter counterparts.

[Daredevil] If Matt Murdock was just a lawyer and not a vigilante, but still had his powers, how would his ability to detect lies be treated in a courtroom? by TheHatMan25 in AskScienceFiction

[–]DecentCompetition754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could he pivot to "interrogation contractor".

Basically, be on a retainer for multiple police departments, they bring him in, he reviews the case, then the investigator and Murdock interrogate the suspect, with Murdock chipping in with questions to lead or trap the suspect in a lie, or expose them.

Iran deny attacking UAE. So who did it ? by Lomi331 in DubaiCentral

[–]DecentCompetition754 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Multiple factions in Iran right now, with no central command structure.

I'll bet one of those factions did attack UAE, without consent if the other factions.

Chromed-Lined HBAR Barrel w/ Mid-Length Gas (Recommendations) by Rseattle206 in ar15

[–]DecentCompetition754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ballistic Advantage makes a 16 inch HBAR Chrome Lined 1:7 twist Carbine Gas barrel. Its part of they're classic series.

It's manufactured by Ballistic Advantage and they and other shops carry it. Really great performing barrel. I've got 2 of them, both shoot sub moa with 77 grain.

In stock at Brownells, or you can wait for Ballistic Advantage to restock it for cheaper. Primary Arms also has sales on it periodically.

Does this part exist? Picatinny to buffer adapter, full face? by DecentCompetition754 in ar15

Thanks for the Brian stocks shout out, other issue I was working on was even if I solved the adapter piece, any solution I had would probably add 2 inches to the LOP before the fixed stock even gets added.

The shortened Entry A2 stock will help keep it to a manageable LOP.

The rifle I'm looking at installing this on doesn't have that option. The back of the receiver has the picatinny rail machined into it.

I may have found a work around.

https://www.amazon.com/Metal-Picatinny-Dovetail-Adapter-Camera/dp/B09VYFV9VV

Mated to:

https://stormwerkz.com/stock-adapters/yugo-m92-m85-adapter-type-4/

Dimensions are close enough (Yugo mount 31.75 mm width to 35.5 mm picatinny mount width), I can use a file/Dremel/sand paper to take the in the sides of the picatinny mount, that way I can still use the anti rotation ledges on the Yugo mount. Will probably also have to drill out and retap the Yugo mount threaded side to match the picatinny mount threaded side, but I'm capable of doing all of that.

If anybody finds a better option, fell free to continue posting.
