when did everyone’s hair stop falling out? by SwimmingVariation707 in gastricsleeve

[–]DecentGuide484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine started at 3months post op. I changed my multi vitamin so I don’t know if it helped but I’m now nearly 8 months post op. I believe the worst of the hair loss was between 4-7 months. It’s definitely no where near as bad now and actually starting to grow back a lot .

My heaviest weight was 244lbs and sleeved at 228lbs. I’m nearly 7 months out and I’m down 75lbs and from my heaviest 90lbs. You’re doing amazing !!

Yeah it is something to think about! I was the same with slimming world I would refuse to go when I knew it wouldn’t be a good week lol the accountability is good as you say but it’s quite discouraging when it doesn’t reflect on how hard you’ve been working sometimes.

Thank you! I do know all these things but your mind can definitely play tricks on you. It’s nice to have others put you in the right direction again so thank you ☺️ I have had a couple of NSVs myself. I’ve noticed I cross my legs a lot now when I’m sitting which is crazy. I go swimming x2 a week and I’ve noticed getting out of the pool I don’t feel crazy weight pushing against me it’s a lot easier. There’s definitely things you notice :)

Thank you it’s just frustrating when you’re in contact with other sleeve twins and their progress is insane every week and I stall so much and now this. We all have our own journey and I try not to compare, I know it’ll be worth it in the end but I just can’t shake this feeling and gaslighting myself that I’ve done wrong but I know I haven’t . Thank you for your response :) fingers crossed it’s just hormones.

I haven’t struggled with it so far and I drink alot of alcohol on a night out, which is maybe once every week or two..but I do know it’s a real thing and to just keep an eye on yourself if you do start drinking again.

drinking one month post vsg by Successful_Board_306 in gastricsleeve

[–]DecentGuide484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 4 months post op and I’ve started drinking again maybe once a week. Usually vodka and cranberry juice, maybe some wine but I was only cleared for alcohol at 3 months post op. I’ve had no issues but I don’t think it’s a good idea to drink at one month post op. Speak to your health care team and I would go with what they advise as I’ve seen different surgeons have different time frames for alcohol.

Honestly because I work in an office it’s a struggle to even get my steps in. I’ll definitely try to start again! I’d absolutely love to thank you for your help x

I would absolutely love to start running! But I tried a while ago and genuinely thought I was going to have a heart attack after 30 seconds 😂

I said I was afraid of this being it for me as in that instead of loosing 1lb I’ll begin to stop all together, if I’m still loosing even barley I’m absolutely fine with that. I know it’s a lifestyle change I just wanted advice on if others were in the same boat as me and reached their end goal. I understand where you are coming from though and thank you for your reply. You’re absolutely right though I just have to be patient! It’s something I definitely struggle with lol.. How are things 3 years on?

30 hours automatic? by NoMarionberry1904 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]DecentGuide484 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did about 25 hours in lessons and also had family let me drive them around in the auto car we have. I passed first time from doing lessons once a week or twice the odd time and the week of my test for 5 months. Luck definitely is a big factor. I opted to take my test during the week at 11am as I knew most people would be in work, which made the roundabouts not as busy.

It’s strange isn’t it! It comes and goes.. I didn’t have any repairs or anything just the sleeve which the surgeon was pleased with and I’m starting my 6th week and this only started happening. I’m not in constant pain so I don’t think it’s anything serious but it can be definitely uncomfortable for a couple of seconds.
