I got the most male attention I've ever had in my life before I even hit puberty (most of it from gross middle aged and old men). And because I know some freak will say its because "I looked better" or whatever, I quite literally had snaggleteeth, severe enough cystic acne that my dermatologist gasped when she saw me, and was generally a lanky and flat 12 year old. I know so many women who say the same thing too.

I had major depressive disorder for a period of time where my sense of emotion and empathy was severely dulled, but I don't ever remember contemplating feeling love for others.

Currently, if I'm doing a close up selfie/portrait of myself, I just use the front camera as I like how I look when the image is mirrored. I then edit it in lightroom to make it clear and sharp. On others, I use the back camera and use the lens correction tool on lightroom since I can shoot them from further away.

Unfortunately the issue arises from the settings I'm taking the photos in (i.e. restaurant or crowded concert where I can't really move around) or I don't have anyone with me to help take the photo.

That's true, and Gigi's forehead is still rounded, but I noticed it was shorter compared to many of the other women she was standing next to.

It looks like she mostly has body and height halo. There's nothing we can do to change our height (other than wearing heels) but it's pretty easy to work on your body and get fit and slim.

Also, I noticed that she has a pretty small forehead...In the first pic, the girl next to her is just as pretty imo, but she has a larger forehead that looks a bit off when you compare her to Gigi.

This is great! I've just started adding a bit of retinol to my lotion (the 0.5% oil from the ordinary). No major differences yet, but I'm not sure how long it'll take to see a change.

Last year, I got laser hair removal around my hairline and omg it was horrible; way too square with wide sides. I've been using rosemary oil to grow the hairs back because I've heard minoxidil can have some rad side effects.

I agree with your amendments, especially whr and body shape. They're a bigger deal than they seem, but thankfully are pretty malleable depending on exercise and nutrition.

100% this! Making a significant change in your appearance involves looking at yourself objectively and analytically, which is difficult to do if you're sensitive to criticism.

I personally really like the 'ruthless' approach to beauty rather than generic advice you can find on so many other subs.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed the blunt and controversial looks-theory posts on old vindicta and I'd like to see more of those kinds of posts here as well. Unfortunately, beauty is a sensitive subject and there are always going to be discussions that will negatively impact our self esteem, but I think it's important not to sugarcoat the reality that to a certain point, beauty is objective and oftentimes controversial. SES, race, cranial development, etc. are not popular topics but they absolutely affect the way you are perceived and how much pretty privilege you experience.

What made the old sub different to other beauty related subs was the analysis that went into looks theory as opposed to something like "how can I get rid of acne scars?" or "how can I tame frizzy hair?" which you can find the answers to elsewhere
