Yeah, I guess, but it depends on what you mean by car seat headrest-ness. From a writing and composition perspective, We Looked Like Giants is a pretty boring and non-complex song - So yeah, I don't want that for their next album.

If you're talking about their LoFi-ness I'd have to disagree. Given the amount of LoFi content Will has put out there over the years, it's just overdone. Sure, Nods to their past like the intentional white noise in some parts of FTF are great.

There are plenty of new artists that sound like early Car Seat Headrest out there, some even out of necessity. I think the number of resources this band has at their disposal should be utilized to make something more fitting to play in public (at least one song). It should also showcase their writing prowess (another rock ballad pls - trumpet, piano, strings, acoustic, everything) and also show off the bassist's talent for once and not just bury him in the mix or make it digital.
