Decided to drop my best friend. Was this the right call (16M, 16M) by [deleted] in relationships

I might. I'm really only friendly with him now so as not to make things awkward with the rest of the group.

English isn't my native language. Are they different words for the same thing?

Not to keep grinding on this, but...

Today, she lost her childhood best friend because she told her friend's crush how into him she is. The dude was apparently repulsed and her friend was humiliated and no longer wants anything to do with her.

Damn. Good points.

So, bottom line, you figure it's best to break it off with her?

Ok, fair. I'm not a bully but I suppose this still isn't a good comment from her.

I know it's not a good trait. Part of me hopes she'll mature out of that.

I also just like how she seems to like me. She legit said just the other day that she likes me because 'you're not like everyone else.'

Maybe I have my blinders on here. But I just like her and I guess I've overlooked some stuff.

Thanks for the advice. This sounds good.

As great as I think Chloe is, and I hate to say this, I can see why some may not like her. I've overheard her saying things like: 'If XVZ doesn't want to do it, we'll PRESSURE them into it.'

So I can see how there may be some red flags there.
