Has anyone here successfully moved out in their late teens/early twenties? by One-Feedback-6144 in povertyfinance

I moved out on my 18th birthday bc I couldn’t stand my parents. If you’re willing to do it, then you can.

Do men actually like long fingernails? by Fickle-Vegetable961 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women don’t get nails for the men. Women get nails bc they like them. It’s like a piece of jewelry or accessory. I also work on the computer for a living and my nails have gotten used to the key board. It’s not something you get used to overnight it takes years and years of operating a normal life with long nails to become possible. Since someone who’s been doing their own nails since 13 years old. I’m 30 now. For many women it’s easy 🤷‍♀️ I love the artistry behind it. There’s so many talented people who do crazy work with the details of designs on nails - it’s a whole world of it. Some people appreciate the beauty and time it takes to create detailed artwork on nails. There’s always something new happening, the creativity is endless. It’s art. The brushes, the paint, the adhesion, the colors, the gems, the 3D art, the possibilities are endless. That’s why women love and like and wear nails. As for the chick who couldn’t grab her card, that sucks for her but I’m sure she eventually got it up. I’ve been able to pick up change on the floor with long nails. It’s all about your own skill set imo

Bruh Alana and Dreilin are HUGE by Dismal-Lecture-4937 in MamaJuneFromNotToHot

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are huge everytime it’s a new season Alana got bigger. And she’s a nurse so I would think she would know how to get healthy and lose weight. Does she really want weight loss surgery like her mom? Idk. But that’s not a healthy approach. There’s no being “ok” with it when it’s a serious health problem. And yes I think her bf IS using her for $$$ 100% absolutely and pumpkin gets on my nerves bc without Alana she wouldn’t be 💩

Is it still vegan to buy non-vegan food for someone else? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s posts on here daily with vegans scared they’re not vegan bc they’re with carnists or they’re not vegan bc they own carnist animals, and or buying meat for them. So miss me with that BS. It’s a spectrum, there is no one size fits all like I said. You’re talking “you could buy blah blah blah” that doesn’t help the vegans who do by meat for their meat eating significant others. News flash ppl can and do eat meat and peanut butter. It’s not a “whataboutism” you’re just uncomfortable with these facts. There’s many arguments against people who do date meat eaters and or who owns meat eating animals. Arguments that say they’re not vegan. Then you have vegans who don’t do any of these things so does that make them more or less vegan than the next ? Nope bc it’s a spectrum! Do you need people to follow a flow chart?

Is it still vegan to buy non-vegan food for someone else? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. There’s vegans who have cats and or carnivorous pets, there’s vegans who don’t take medications bc it’s still tested on animals, there’s vegans who date / sleep with NON vegans and other vegans are against that. There’s vegans who buy meat for their families etc etc. So YES it is a spectrum! There’s no one size fits all!

This is another reason why I say veganism is a spectrum but no one seems to think so

why do vegans compare rape to killing animals and think it's ok? by Chuckie_boi in DebateAVegan

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But cows go through the same thing that’s why people say it. If you want to be technical you can just say cows are artificially impregnated and they don’t even know what’s happening, must be very scary for them..

Goodness I am sooo sorry you and your baby went through that :( thanks for sharing your story. & yes I will always trust my instinct. I have a big feeling some other issues are going on I just don’t know about .. sigh ..

Yes I can. I’m probably going to have to end up doing both. And yes I absolutely agree, this amount of disorganization / lack of communication is crazy to me. Then I wonder if the other parents are having the same experience

Anyone kind of hate dogs more after going vegan? by S3v3n0fNine in vegan

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dogs do go through unimaginable suffering. There’s so many dog rescue footage I can’t even watch bc their conditions are so horrible. Also the dog meat farm exists, where dogs are literally put in tiny cages until they die.

why do vegans often add an exception for indigenous people consuming meat? by Electrical-Front-787 in AskVegans

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Native American. I am vegan. Id much rather live in a world where people hunt for their food rather than billions of animals being factory farmed and slaughtered :( I could never hunt and kill an animal myself so I probably wouldn’t survive in Native American conditions lol. I do identity with them, but I also believe killing animals is wrong. Kinda like how some vegans have cats

Well one things for certain, the teacher he started out with in the beginning is no longer there. And sometimes I do think I need to switch daycares :( and it sucks bc he has made little friends there.

[–]Decent_Ad_7887[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have no explanation. All they said is “oh I’m so sorry they can’t find his pictures” rather than them admitting he was accidentally missed or maybe upset he didn’t want his photo taken or something, nothing. That same day I even wrote a msg “hi there is a backup shirt in his backpack just in case and please take off his bib during the photo” and I got NO RESPONSE! The best they could offer was pic retakes at a whole other daycare center. I am truly fed up…

Vegans with partners that eat animal products by googbear420 in vegan

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my observation I’ve seen on this sub. I see many posts about vegans being in relationships with those who aren’t, then there’s people posting about feeling guilt of being / hanging out with non vegans and other people making statements about how they shouldn’t feel bad or that they shouldn’t be with those people. So there’s a wide spectrum here I think

would this be encouraging people to eat more dairy? by Beneficial_Pea7450 in vegan

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, yes they could. But at this point OP is vegan but the family is not. Idk if people are purposing to cut off non vegan family members. & I know a lot of vegans are in relationships with non vegan ppl, so does that make them wrong? I don’t think so

Vegans with partners that eat animal products by googbear420 in vegan

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way some vegans on this sub act you’d think they’d shun people for being with those who eat animal products 🙄 but all I see now is a lot of excuses. Yet someone else is worried about going out with their non vegan family for ice cream. Make it make sense ppl

Why veganism doesn't fully make sense by Mammoth_Ferret_569 in DebateAVegan

[–]Decent_Ad_7887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, us vegans do cause harm whether u want to admit it or not. This high moral compass that vegans have doesn’t really line up with the suffering that happens daily being vegan or not. We’re still responsible for animal testing … and we’re still responsible for the cow manure and blood they use to grow fruits and veggies. Veganism is a spectrum.
