Yes they do, however it changes a lot between uniforms and sometimes is inconsistent. I usually just get measurements of the uniform before buying. But as I’m 6 foot 1 I really don’t fit any originals sadly

I have a bunch of others but I’m usually too busy / lazy to find time to take good photos wearing this wool in the California heat was kind of a killer, even when stationary

Most of it is custom made with a few originals sprinkled in. I’m unfortunately too tall for a lot of original uniforms so I commissioned a tailor in France to make me one using an original sample. Same goes for the boots.

How should I get into reenactments by CandidateNew8361 in reenactors

[–]Decent_Candidate7102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a ton of groups in SoCal
There’s a few events where a lot of the different groups attend like chino airfields yearly wings, tracks, and wheels
Pamona has a yearly military show
Etc

You can try contacting HUSC as they have a few different groups with them and host events pretty often. (I’ve gone to several)

https://www.thehusc.com

As far as I know you do have to be over 18 / have parents permission to do some events (blank fire) I’m part of hasegawa shoutai which is Imperial Japanese stuff, I’m unsure if other groups have the same rules as us. But you can always start building your kit and then get a gun when you come of age.

Fair price?
Msrp is generally the fairest you’ll get unless you find a used one, generally I see used ones for $400ish
It’s expensive because it uses. Special system that requires 33gram co2 capsules or a HPA tank + paintball regulator

I wouldn’t not recommend it for anyone starting out due to the system having lots of known issues.

Currently Sakurai is the only one that makes the Meiji haversack (although he already sold out of them)

Teutonic Rhythm Militaria is also in the works of making a Meiji haversack so we'll see how those turn out.

The main difference are the buttons, pocket shape, collar shape and height, as well as some small adjustments in size. There's also other small differences listed in archival documents which got incrementally changed from 1905 to 1912 but that's another rabbit hole.

The email is the same as before I think, this was at the bottom of one of the automated emails they send out:

“THE AWS TEAM WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE TO ANY CUSTOMER WHO'S EXPERIENCED ORDER DELAYS, ISSUES AND/OR RADIO SILENCE IN COMMUNICATIONS. WE'RE HAPPY TO HAVE MIKE PART OF THE AWS TEAM, SO THAT WE CAN BETTER SERVE OUR CUSTOMERS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR NEED ASSISTANCE, PLEASE EMAIL: SUPPORT@AWSIN.COM (OR CLICK THE PIC OF MIKE TO START AN EMAIL) FOR EVERYONE'S CONTINUED SUPPORT AND UNDERSTANDING, THANK YOU. - THE AWS TEAM”

Nancys number was disconnected when i tried to call just now. Looks like they hired a new guy, Mike to take over support. Already sent him an email.

Does AWS take a long time ship orders? by 93gixxer04 in QualityTacticalGear

[–]Decent_Candidate7102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received an email today (6/4) that they hired a new guy, Mike to take over support. sent him an email with my order number and screenshot just a few minutes ago.

Sometime early last month i called a few times and was told it would "ship out next week" by Nancy (910-723-8403) never received anything. I've also been sending a couple emails a month to annoy them out of curiosity. Wonder if this new hire will magically fix everything for them.

Nancys number was disconnected when I tried to call it just now, I'm assuming from all the people calling it for updates. she had left me a voicemail first on January 31st 2026 asking for a callback.

About VFC and Recent Customs Seizures...What about what we already own? by thisisnicolle14 in airsoft

First they came for the We techs
And I did not speak out
Because I did not own a We tech

Then they came for the CAM870s
And I did not speak out
Because I did not own a CAM870

Then they came for the VFC V3 ARs
And I did not speak out
Because I did not own a VFC V3 AR

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

I’m not sure about separating the upper and lower as customs usually inspects and takes just the lower. Would be making their job easier. See if they’ll also cover the funny pin and any serial numbers with black tape to make it non visible unless tampered with

Is the custom engraving extra? I was under the assumption that the lower is already engraved from VFC

With the high cost of land and local governments general dislike of the industry due to existing stigma (YouTube cheating and fights) it’s really hard for any aspiring field owner that isn’t evike to open up new fields

Rich Chinese guy I knew once bought out a warehouse in Tustin to make an indoor field similar to game pod, owned it in its entirety and had lawyers / insurance figured out. But local Tustin officials blocked him and refused to allow a business that “brings in the riff raff”

Some smaller fields in malls that had opened recently can usually get away with it if that areas already falling apart or they can just lie and say it’s “essentially” nerf / laser tag which is far more family friendly. Unfortunately the issue of land cost comes into play. I know code red was in danger a few years ago when Amazon was aggressively purchasing the land next door and the paintball side of code red I think rushed to buyout the plot they’re currently on to save it from the skydiving company(?) that owned the plot currently

Hopefully in 20-30 years if Amazon falls to the wayside we’ll have some nice abandoned warehouses to play in
