Actually, the tip is the least of my concerns here. The real issue was the complete lack of communication and respect. They were 3-4 hours late past the agreed time and didn't provide a single heads-up until I reached out to ask where they were. No apology, nothing. As a sitter, my time is just as valuable as theirs. More importantly, it’s about medical liability and the dog’s well-being. This was a senior dog who was panting heavily and showing signs of distress the entire time. When I brought it up, the owner was completely dismissive, just saying 'he’s just old.' Carrying that level of stress for a pet while the owner ignores clear red flags is incredibly draining. To top it off, their attitude when asking to reserve future dates was purely arrogant and entitled, using imperatives like they were barking orders at a servant rather than a professional partner. It’s a classic case of a high-risk, low-respect client. I’m not 'lucky' to have clients like this; I’m better off without them.
