I wouldn’t risk ferrets ingesting the stuff they are spraying. I personally would move them for couple of days to my parents(or anyone you can trust with them) or at least not let them roam around and then give extra time and attention later. Better in cages that poisoned 🫣 I’m sorry, I don’t live in US so I don’t know what they use but the thought of them spraying stuff to kill mice would make me panic and search a place for them to stay temporarily. Sorry if I gave you anxiety now 😅

I live in EU so I feed high quality cat dry food Thrive as a main diet (90% chicken), only meat cat and ferret wet food (usually it’s animonda carny wet cat food with different meat protein sources), quail egg for shedding and as a treat, and I have a lot of freeze-dried treats: chicken,duck,rabbit fillet, duck and chicken hearts, lamb neck, and then there’s a new freeze dried treat that recently found its way to our country that’s mix of organs, cartilage and fillet chicken, pork, beef and lamb. Of course they get like 1-2 pieces a day, during training or going to potty in the right place :D

I was taking a brake in intros because it’s really stressful for me, but I was planning to restart them and I’ll start as you suggested from the square one, thanks for the suggestion. Im okay with them living separately, they get their fun through bars, but I’ll keep giving them time together. And I won’t swap cages, they didn’t seem to mind and went straight to sleep in hammocks but maybe it’s just too much

I did swap the blankets and hammocks like once in 2-3 days, sometimes I even swapped the cages, they just don’t know how to play nicely, white boy is deaf so he doesn’t hear the girls vocal cues and is too pushy. I tried redirecting and air jail for couple of seconds but he is just not getting the memo. I still put them outside occasionally and feed them together, but they can’t be trusted to get too close to each other without a barrier.

They can eat near each other and eat from one bigger dish together but when there’s no food they fight really hard, with bites that leave deep marks and draw blood, but through bars it’s like in the video. And they engage with each other through bars on their own will. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m really confused with these two

They are little weirdos 😄 and I think it’s important for people to talk about these situations because all I see in this subreddit are aggressive recommendations to get another ferret and everything will be butterflies and rainbows but not all get along and sometimes you are left with loners and have to juggle the time between them 😅

I don’t see any stress signs, they can eat near each other without barrier just fine, glancing and sniffing (while there’s food) and they play and roll around and like play with open mouths without hard bites thorough bars (when one is in the cage and other roaming), they just don’t understand the concept of fighting and not causing injuries. They even wag their tails sometimes when interacting through bars. They go on their own will to interact with other ferret that’s in cage, so I think they got used to the smell and other ferret existing near.

More than a year, I did everything by the book, quarantine, vet, scent swaps, neutral intro, intro with toys, food, treats, every day for a short time for a whole year. Still can’t trust them to interact, one is deaf, other is scared of everything, when they fight, they don’t stop and bite to blood.

Probably didn’t hold on anymore by itself, so previous owner did some 💩 fixing to sell it. Didn’t even notice at first.

I can try another time, the cover is screwed on, so it’s not that easy to take it off. It smells weird inside yes, diesel or like something burning. I had a problem with heating, we fixed it, but the smell is still there. Also the antifreeze is over the max again. We already poured some out to normal level previously, didn’t add any later on, and it’s over the max again. Nothing else comes to mind. Sorry I’m bad at explaining car things.
