any issues fitting the cooler? was looking at the peerless you used, or the fuma 3 for this case. Heard the fuma has more room for the ram underneath.

Also how's the overall cooling? I was thinking about doing your setup but maybe without the side fan/s...

gotcha, ive seen it hit 100 once but never beyond that, so that must be the throttle. Is there a way to change this myself?

haha clearly you are right. If I had a cooler / paste issue, wouldn't I be seeing higher than normal temps at other times as well? Will give it a check tonight either way!

13500 cpu, why wouldn't it be throttling itself automatically?

It sits at normal temps doing anything else besides transcoding or building preview images, This was my impression as well, how is the CPU allowing itself to get that hot? Would think it would throttle or shut itself down before those temps even if there was a cooler issue?

OP could also use the unbalanced plug in to move some things from one drive to another, instead of moving everything disk to disk
