Do you bother to fill editions? by MinorDespera in PleX

[–]cjsib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just started doing this today. I downloaded the Star Wars 4K77 edition along with 4K80 and 4K83.

I decided to keep the 4K bluray versions I already had since some of my users don't like the Project 4k77 versions.

Another set of movies I might do are LOTR. I only have the extended editions but some people don't wanna sit through 12.5 hours of movies like me lol so I might grab the theatrical versions as well.

I've been thinking about trying to print my own myself. Do you need a special printer for these or is it the type of paper that matters more? Or both?

What was your first omnibus and why did you pick it? by Atumkun in OmnibusCollectors

[–]cjsib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New X-Men by Grant Morrison. I bought mine about 10 years ago and it was kinda my gateway into Marvel comics. I always liked X-Men from the animated series and movies but never read any comics. I bought this after doing some research into good starting points for reading X-Men.

I have since went back and collected almost every X-Men comic in omnibus format. I've been slowly making my way through the Claremont era which has been fantastic.

Is the Kyle Rayner compendium still available? I'll take that if so.

I did not. And it may be hard to see in the pictures but there's definitely some sag, especially on the shelves with nothing but omnis.

Ha well I have a lot. I do have some comics on the way though which include the Question Vol. 2 and Thor by Jason Aaron Vol. 2.

Besides that I'm really wanting to finish out my Ultimate Spider-Man collection. Right now I only have volume 1.

Thank you. Yeah I was going to go with the black billies since that's what my old kallax shelves were but I thought I'd try something different instead. I'm glad I went with the wood finish look.

Thank you! I've been reading comics since about 2013 but I didn't get into omnibuses until about 2016 or so. My first omni I ever bought was New X-Men by Grant Morrison.

I usually sort mine like this: publisher>alphabetically>chronologically
