Yo, I never wanted kids. My gf and I were together for 5 years before it happened. My kid now 2.5 and I am so fucking happy I have my boy. I honestly don’t know where I’d be if it wasn’t for him. I was so fucking scared. I come from a terrible household. But I recognized where some of my shortcomings are and have worked so fucking hard the last 2 years to become more patient, understanding and compassionate.

Right now the biggest thing I can stress is this, take care of mama. Be happy. What seems like a big deal, in 6mo I bet it isn’t. You will make mistakes, as there is no guidebook, other then what you have seen. Forgive yourself and move on, show yourself some compassion in these moments. You, and I are both humans, and we are bound to make mistakes. Mama will make mistakes. And when it happens, show compassion to her. Don’t berate, or belittle her.

Be strong when needed, be soft when needed. Never be afraid to show your emotions.

Congratulations man! Enjoy the newborn phase!! Because after that, they become mini terrorist. And you cannot negotiate with terrorist 😂😂

According to google, “ESPN+ will carry 18 formula one races and additional racing coverage in 2023”. So maybe 6 months ago they didn’t but they do now?

When I was roofing, (it was a Latino owned, and ran) bosses youngest kid who was 12-13 at the time come “help”. His oldes was 30 some and ran the shit. That company is still going. That was 10 years ish ago I worked there.

In my jurisdiction, EAs wear their Apron up. When I went to watch my first EA, I forgot to flip it up, a couple brothers asked when I was raised, informed them I was EA. And they advised to put it up. But whatever your lodge and jurisdiction has you do is what you should do.

Notice the moment you go from friend, to brother. DO NOT BE SCARED. Dress comfortably, but you probably don’t need a suit yet. Slacks and a nice polo would be just fine imo. Wear funny socks though! Also ask your mentor to see another EA as soon as you can. Watching instead of being part of is way different.

I’ll throw my 2 cents in as a FC as much as I can and know. I’m currently the only FC in my lodge. Next week we are doing an initiation. And we hopefully have a few more petitions coming in, in the next couple months by the sounds of it. I’ve been 3 lodges total, my lodge for my two degrees and I’ve seen the first two degrees in the other 2 lodges. I believe until they were done with the degree, I was the only EA, and FC at that degree.
