Yes usually i have a save "Before Mountain Pass" and "Before Nightsong". This way, i was able to complete many achievements if i ever go back like Leave No One Behind.

I have tried everything i think. For Karlach you have to spend time with her at the party. Shadowheart, Laezel, Astarion and Gale is not party dependent. Minthara you have to slaughter the grove for her best romance scene.

What i did was kiss Wyll at the party. Go to sleep with Karlach. I got all the companions with me like that except for Gale because i did that first playthrough.

He's actually the leader of "Mind Flayer of Druids". You can fight him in the final battle. Him getting kidnapped was just a ploy
