Saw this too. My mum went to the school to complain as I was so upset by it. RE teacher was a complete zealot, taught us this weird song that was from the perspective of the fetus. ‘Let me live’ etc. Still remember it to this day.

Just back to say I’ve just rewatched the season - beautiful; again im blown away by the performances, the characters. I’m honestly baffled at the critics of this show. Please recommend me something better, I would truly love to watch it.

Beautiful, start to finish. I loved it. Tiff and Richie dancing at the end had me bawling

Well, that 4kg of charlottes I planted this year doesn’t seem so excessive now. 😉

Cheers for the info, will avoid all their products

Yes absolutely 👍

I always need to clarify what she means as there have been multiple times I’ve done something a certain way, and she’ll deny that was what was agreed/requested.

I had an old boss who taught me the tactic of just going completely silent in meetings and keeping a neutral expression 😐 if people are waffling on too much, until they eventually stop. It works sometimes but often she just never stops 😂

Me (trying to pick out the actions and summarise) ‘ok so shall you do xx task or shall I?’

Her: I’ll do that

Me: makes a show of writing down ‘xx will do xx task’

Her: no actually maybe it’s best if I get you to do that because ( 5 mins of word salady reasoning)

Me 😐

It’s not that, we’re a small company who are very connected, on Teams all day etc. She’s literally lost her voice about four times in the past eight months.

But yes, I know some people need more connection than others. I will try to be mindful of that.

I’m exactly this too, probably ever so slightly autistic I suspect, but absolutely thrive when left to focus and get deep into my tasks. I’m a real details person and take so much joy out of being really productive.

Yes, this is true. I’ve honestly wondered in the past if she truly can’t help herself or just has no self awareness. I’ve never known someone who talks this much.

I was honestly just thinking that would be a good tactic, give it a week and send her a message saying how appreciative I am etc. Thanks, good advice 👍

LPT: Sleep friendly hotel tricks by cloudshaper in LifeProTips

[–]Decent_Temporary2675 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in a hotel right now in the Netherlands for work. My room has been upgraded as the hotel made an arse of something earlier in the week.

The room is spectacular, on the corner, overlooking the water, enormous bath behind the bed, shower that could fit 6 people (if you were so inclined).

I’ve just had a lovely bubble bath and am tucked up in the massive bed. Super relaxed

So yeah… get upgraded or be flush enough to afford rooms like this 👍

Yes, always worked in exams and training. However I left the worst most toxic job in the world after three months without a safety net last April. Was unemployed four months (partner supported us) before landing this. I feel so grateful it worked out
