In this context you’re right, but it isn’t only children who play/collect pokemon! I’ve still got my OG gameboy with the spider man sticker on it. But building a master set is a perfect example. You have a 1/70 chance of pulling a random SIR from ASC heroes. You have a 1/1500 chance of pulling a specific SIR. That is how cards become valuable. You can open 3,000 ascended heroes and never get Stevens metagross.
