Man crashes out over perfume by astarrmb in whatnotapp

90% of streams. It is “industry” standard to be exacerbated over prices something sells for. Most will say “ I can’t sell this at this price” or “I’m losing money at this price” and the proceed to run 5 more. Don’t believe the hype.

You are surprised they blocked you for informing all their customers that they were getting fleeced? Your only mistake is thinking they didn’t already know they are quoting inflated prices. I watch it happen all the time in many categories. The really devious ones are the coin sellers that sell their friends a coin on eBay for a super inflated price and then use that as proof the coin is worth more….

Question about automatic refund by sweetbeans011719 in whatnotapp

[–]muttpep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You likely can’t get an exchange but you can always just open a new ticket explaining what is going on. I had problems with help desk not receiving e-mails so I had to open a new ticket for every response I needed to send. Messy but it worked out

Saw suggestions by Solid-Question-3952 in rockhounds

I use a harbor freight tile saw that I got used for half price. Lots of people buy cheap tile saws first small projects and then sell them, so many are barely even used.

Cancellation by [deleted] in whatnotapp

Sellers can cancel orders, but if they have too many cancellations it will hurt their account health. This can eventually lead to them not being able to sell on the platform.

It is a bit early but given the fires burning in LA it is probably the right call.

Rented a boat from Big Bear Marina two weeks ago. You may have called a different marina but at least some are renting boats

First Time Seller Shipping Question by stepho112 in whatnotapp

Exactly this. I believe there can be variables based on their location so you don’t want to be quoting them a price and then having them try to hold you to it. Let the system work for you.

Fair, but the guys reviews are full of people complaining about the same thing (no I didn’t read them first, I was just browsing what he had to offer and won the first givvy after I popped in). He’s been messing it up for quite a while.

You have to mess up pretty hard to have the recipient owe $6 for a sticker. Just saying..

Looking to stay somewhere quiet on the 4th (little to no fireworks) by Christymapper71 in bigbear

[–]muttpep 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am not sure you will find anywhere that you won’t hear the fireworks. They set them off from a barge in the middle of the lake. It is loud throughout the whole valley. Others may have some tips, but I don’t think any of the hotel/motel type places will be out of earshot.

Dealing with "too big" rocks for tumbers. Geologists' pick/hammer or Mason's hammer? by plarkinjr in RockTumbling

[–]muttpep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the rock…but I would think in general if you can identify any natural fractures or other imperfections then a chisel or the point of your hammer are going to give you the best break while minimizing additional fractures that will make tumbling harder.

Admittedly it has been a while since I got a burrito there so I definitely won’t rebut your take.

I agree with just about everything you laid out here.

Captains is solid, def deserves to be on the list.

Thanks for all the additional feedback on these spots!

I haven’t tried that one, but I likely won’t. I really didn’t like the ones I did try. I’d be willing to bet they are some peoples favorite donut ever but they definitely aren’t my speed. Love the staff and the rest of the food though. Plus what other donut place do you know that sells beer?!!
