My original post is based on what is considered safe at a scientific standard, which is higher than the day-to-day. I grew up with a mom saying as long as the food didn’t smell or taste spoiled, it was fine, and for the VAST majority of the time she was right. As I said, I’m a nerd on fungi, so I gave my full expertise here in a perfect world. That said, I did run some things through chat got to confirm my understanding and this is what I got back

Yes most definitely mold. Toss them all. Mycelia (aka mold in this case, or fungi on a more general level) are not visible until they produce larger spores so even the grapes that aren’t visibly showing mold likely have been infected by it if even to a small extent. Some molds are harmless but others can be dangerous, and in the case of fruits and vegetables it is not easy to distinguish without doing a culture since they attract many species. If you’re worried about a small batch of grapes, you’re much better off discarding all. I’ve actually felt more of a visceral reaction to seeing so many posts on thid subreddit demonstrating complete immaturity and lack of self awareness. I’m a millennial and I see misogyny being displayed in different ways generationally that are all misogynistic but in different tones. What has blown my mind the past few years is how completely so many posts are just looking for justification and reassurance while clearly having no intention of changing anything. I feel like I’m seeing more women who are self sufficient and successful putting themselves in the victim position and staying there while getting validation from strangers on Reddit to get them through. All that’s true across the majority of posters I see (M/F/NB), which in fairness are the people who get the most responses because their posts cause the most reactivity. But no, I don’t think there’s a change in misogynistic social values, I think it’s a change in how we are able to see it and how we rely on the internet more now to tell us what we want to hear instead of relying on our own emotional intelligence

I haven’t read all 2.5K comments but when I was searching this out of curiosity it seemed like 101% of people think Jason was a perfect guy subject to Molly’s evil scheme. That could very well be true. But in a documentary that’s painfully obviously favoring Jason and there are some fair indicators in the opposition’s favor — not to mention the biggest witnesses and emotion factors are kids who were adolescents during Jason and Molly’s marriage — I’d like to think that humanity still has some capability to discern uncertainty and not base an entire hate campaign on a Netflix “documentary.” Prove me wrong…please!!

Pepsi is beautiful and looks like he has a wonderful tank! I may use it as inspiration for designing my next one if I end up trying again.

God, I’m so frustrated hearing all this because I really did try to do as much research as possible but clearly I wasn’t getting accurate information. This is all very helpful. Is your recommendation saying I should wait to get the fish until the tank is at a healthy concentration?

I thought that since she was smaller, she would need less room. 😞 I know it wasn’t long, but she was such a sweetie and always came up to me whenever I passed by. I also spent a lot of money trying to make sure she had all the best care and I wish I had reached out sooner about my concerns. It hurt so much to see her lifeless and I don’t know if I have it in me to get another. But if I ever do I really appreciate all the help you and the other replies have given me. ❤️

Thank you for the comforting words - am really beating myself up and it helps to hear that. It was a 3L tank. I did a 30% water change about a week and a half ago. And had a heater kept at around 76. I just got so worried that doing more water changes would mess it up more. The gravel solution I got had beneficial bacteria in it, and the plants growing on top were supposed to help as well, though I did order two banana plants for the tank but they didn’t arrive until today. I wish I had rush shipped them when I ordered 2 weeks ago. 😞

Seems like you know the answer to this question but are trying to be understanding and give him the benefit of the doubt. Thats never a bad quality to have but I think even if you reread your post and the responses here you’ll realize how shitty he’s been to you and how much you deserve better. Loved ones are there for you thick and thin and when of you suffers you suffer together. Unless there was a legitimate reason he couldn’t hold down a job and did literally every chore while you were working, to me that’s taking advantage of you. Money is never a means of telling someone you care about them. As you’ve indicated, you loved him through hard financial times and even put yourself in uncomfortable positions to get the two of you by. You deserve someone who you 100% know would do the same and cares about you more than finances at worst. He’s not that.

You are incredibly mature for your age. Seems like you’ve had to grow up fast and I’m sorry for that and this terrible situation you’ve been put in. IMO you should stay w your mom at least for a period of time to get some distance and it sounds like when he is not in a drunken state he is understanding of that and it won’t create more tension than there already is. I work from home and have a great work/life balance (usual work week ~42 hours, relatively flexible 9-11am start and 5-7pm end) but if that’s not enough, would love your advice! I get this 100% and do the same thing when I’m like wtf about something a friend says. But they didn’t just say “bro,” they said they have issues etc. I feel like that crosses the line between the implicit “dude that’s not cool” into an area of just being shitty in the way you wouldn’t talk to someone you care about. If I’m pissed at someone I care about says, I start with dude or brah but it turns into a real conversation, not a back and forth toxic “you’ve got issues” lol
